04.10.11 HIghgate, Mr C, 410cc overs from 34b, 5″5 10stone.
my admission time was 9am, got to hospital about 8.45am filled out forms and went t my room about 9.15, the amazing nurse came in and asked me some questions about 9.30 measured my up for my stockings, took blood pressure and gave me a preg test. she went off to get my stockings and paper pants (I want allowed to wear my cotton ones?) then whilst she was gone the anethastist man came in and asked me some more questions and reassured me as I was worried about canular in my hand and the needle eek, he asked where the nurse was with my stockings and said I needed to get my gown on as I’d be in shortly, so he left and I got my gown on, nurse came in and I got my sex paper pants in and stockings and showed her I wasn’t pregnant! mr c came in about 10 drew on me and we confirmed my size then he said I was in next. another nurse came and got me to take me to theatre about 10.30 and I sat with the anethasiist men and chatted for a while until the surgery room was ready for me, I was bricking it so one man held my hand and one put the needle in, it actually didn’t hurt at all, however when they injected the anaesthetic it hurt and. cried out, they told me to breath and
pushed more in and then the next thing. know I was in recovery shouting out for another girl lol, then got told off as she was recovering, I’m well embarrassed about it but the anaesthetic makes you do crazy things haha.
got back to my room just gone 12 and they sat me up in bed and I chose what I for my lunch, then started to feel very very hot and had
black spots in front if my eyes and was pouring with sweat, tried to find the emergency nurse button but they had left it n the wall luckily
the man walked back in with my lunch and I just about managed to say ‘help get nurse’ before I fainted. the nurse came in, laid me down flat and put cold wet flannels on my head, she said I mustof sat up too high and too early.
they took my lunch away and then I ended up having it about 2, my hubby came to me at 4 and the nurse saidicold leave when I wanted as I was fine, I asked to stayfor dinner hehe, lamb cutlet, mash and veg yum! hubby ate with me too, only cost 9quid for his and he had cheesecake yum. the nurse discharged me and got my drugs and. left about 5.30, although I was beverrushed and she said for me to stay as long as I wanted if I wanted to have another sleep.
had a great experience and enjoyed my day! we stayed a little further away, in shepherds bush and i felt so good ast night wentout for a walk and walked to the new westfeild shopping centre as it was 5mind from hotel,didn’t sleep well in hotel last night and was on and off from 1am but it was prob cos I was sleeping right and I usually sleep on my tummy. took painkillers about 4am then just read, but was very uncomfortabe and stiff, only managed half a piece of toast this am and then fell asleep on car journey home. thiki did too much last night but thought I was okay, since ga has worn off tho today I’ve felt it.
right sorry for ramblingon girls but seriously if you have any doubts or worries it is fine. my hubby dropped me off and came back for me at 4 so. was on my own but it flew by. good luck everyone xxx
