Little bit upset. Just had my dressings removed by the nurse :(

Ok, so I no I’m only 10 days pot op so I’m not expecting miracles but I was a little upset leaving the nurse as Id jut seen the nipple lift insicions for the first time. It’s not the scabby or bloody bits that bother me, it’s how the shape of my nipple area that meets my boob looks. Can anyone else who had a nipple lift or the whole circumference of the nipple cut and lifted tell me if they had an unevenness at first where the stitching was done, as in a slight puckering on the skin around the nipple? I’m hoping this will go as I no its still healing, the nurse said everything looks ok but I just felt upset seeing it as when I had my dressings over my boobs I couldn’t see any of what was going on, it was all hidden.

Also, talk about bruising! About 90% of both my breasts are covered in a big yellow bruise Was gonna upload some pics of my progress but I think I’ll wait a bit coz they aren’t looking great at the mo Overall Mario has done a brill job as the shape now compared to before is soooo much better and I don’t feel it’s anything bad towards him as I no he’s got the best reputation etc but I just don’t want to be one of the very unlucky few who have problems.

Sorry for the moan girls. Its not even 2 weeks since my op yet so I think I just need to chill, just feeling a little down but trying to hide it from my hubby as he paid for my new boobies, dont want him to think im being ungrateful xx

hey hun, I think I know what you mean. The puckering is totally normal, the nurse mentioned it to me before the op and it does go, it’s just part of the healing so don’t be upset! I’ll try and get some more pics on tonight and you can tell me if it’s similar? xx

Ahh, thanks holly. That would be great if you could and had time I feel a little more relieved now someone says they heard something similar. I kept telling myself in my head when I was in the waiting room waiting for my appointment NOT to expect a beautiful pair of boobies so soon afterwards. But it’s just hard to deal with when you actually see it tho. The nurse said everything looked ok so I guess that’s a good sign.

I had a BA and nipple lift, not a full anchor or lollipop lift, just the nipple cut and lifted. I’m sure I’ll be fine, I’m just stressing far to early on. I can’t knock one thing about MYA. They’ve been great xx

I’ve had my dressings off today and mine look horrendous!! My nurse assured me it would get better. The puckering is so bad tho and mines all black and yellow. My nipple sticks out a mile too!! It can only get better for us hun xxx

Oh My God!!!!!!!!! Just looked at ur boobs …you must be soooooooooooooooo happy with the shape of them they look fab, I had a little puckering at the beginning but that went pretty soon, i wasn’t concerned cause my nurse said that would happen, i have a bit of a straight bit on one of my nipples (i must upload some more recent photos’) but compared to how they were before I love them!!!!!!! don’t worry hun the puckering will go soon x

I’ll message you once I’ve put them up hun. The worst thing you can do is keep looking at them so early on though. I had my steri strips removed yesterday and my nips looked gruesome lol with all the dried blood but it’s not bothering me cos I know it will all start to come off now I can shower.

You just need to give it time hun but at least you know now that we all get the puckering with the nipple lift xx

Maxineruth, if your comment was meant for me, then thank you very much Your right, I’m soooo impressed with the shape difference! He’s worked his magic that’s for sure, I was half expecting him to say I needed a full uplift when I had my consultation as I thought they looked that bad. But luckily he said just the nipple lift and Im not expecting my nipple incisions to be perfectly round as hes only human after all! But as long as my nipples are ‘kinda’ round once I’m healed then I think I’m gonna have a massive improvement xx

Ginag84, your boobs look amazing hun, and mario is very well known for neat scars, just give it time xx

Hi girls I’m 9 weeks PO ..from nipple lift & BA I really wouldn’t stress girls they change so much ! Mine were really swollen liked um even the Puckering give them time this will all go your really early po still and have so much healing ..when I had my 6 week check Mario said my scarring was amazing and will be barely visable

Down the line and I think he’s right I think my nips are still changing even now ! Also look at Tina 2011 pics of her nipple lift u wouldn’t even no ! Dont worry girls xxx

ginag84 -mine didnt look great when i first saw them, and i still have the smallest bits of dried blood and scabs on – the nurse told me not to touch it and let it go on its own, it gets better everytime i have a bath although i cant get my boobs under the water anymore haha!

my nipples were puckered at the top – mines jsut a lift like yours. i had a big pucker on one nipple at the side too which i was worried about but they’ve all dissappeared now and little bit of uneveness i had is almost totally gone and they are healing with a perfect line round – i can tell that it will be almost invisable when fully healed so DONT WORRY! they’re jsut healing and will look better in a few weeks xxx

It’s jst I was never told before my op about this ‘puckering’ look around the nipples so it was a bit upsetting seeing it as I thought I was going to have uneven deformed boobies! Was gonna upload pics but I think I will wait a few more days as the bruising is seriously horrific!!! Both of my boobs are covered in one big whole yellow bruise Not attractive lol!

Natalie, thank you so good to hear this is normal, as like I said in my other post, I was never told about the puckering and I PANICKED when I saw it! Sat in the car with my hubby crying for 10 mins after we left the clinic lol! Such a big baby! xx

Hi ladies, thanks for all your posts, they are so reassuring to read as im dreading my dressings coming down in one respect for fear of what ile see, in another respect i cant wait! But its good to hear your experiences and know how your healing as im in the early days of this whole process now, as many others will be xx

I’m getting my ba first of may and a nipple lift and av got only 8 days off work and am worried about the healin process and how ill manage at work xxxx

Do you work in an office babe? I do and I only took a week off. Could of done with an extra couple of days but I was ok, just take it easy and no lifting when you get back! Make the boys run around after you xx

Rrr yeah ado I was so scared like havin boobs sounds painful enough without having your nips movered . I’m so glad you’ve had it done so a can hear more about it . Xxx
