Thought I’d bump this up as it took ages to be checked by the moderator for some reason!

Gemma are you staying there the night before? Or night of op day? Wondering whether I’d be allowed to stay in a hotel room on my own the day of my op?

Had my op on 20/8 and stayed in Holiday Inn before and after op I would make sure you have someone with you afterwards as I couldn’t lift anything heavy so even my bag plus was a bit spaced out from general anaesthetic … the hotel is a 4 min walk away and the staff are amazing so friendly

We stayed at the grange fitzrovia hotel , half the price from the holiday inn and you can see the holiday inn from the hotel so distance not an issue , opposite Nando’s and near Sainsbury’s and other shops etc , if you need to park you can pay in advance to park under the holiday inn hotel as the grange doesn’t have parking but they’re so close it doesn’t really matter and you don’t have to stay there to park, grange fitzrovia isn’t the most modern hotel but if you’re staying one night is okay but wish I’d stayed at the holiday inn but couldn’t justify the price difference for one night
