:bigsmile:Hi Leonie, I had my ba on nov 10th at manchester lifestyle, pre op I was a 34c although my boobs had dropped due to having kids (and age!!)
Mr Alvi advised 460cc overs, I am thrilled with the result, because I went for the larger implant I did not need an uplift. I am 5.6 and 8st 11.
    1 week to go…. Good Luck X

Hi Leonie, I was counting the sleeps and cant believe my ba was 3 weeks ago! Im unsure of my new size yet- the “granny” bra comes off in 3 weeks hopefully when il be measured, im in a 36 dd sports bra at the mo as u have to go up a back size and 2 cup sizes due to swelling, however its on the last hooks still so i dont know what my back will measure- still a 34 when i measure using a tape- so confusing!! So glad i went for the 460 and not 410 as i think id of wanted bigger!! I hope to be a dd/e cup, hope this helps xx

Hi Leonie, just wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow. Lifestyle hospital is fab- from the moment you arrive to the time you leave everyone treats you lovely and the food is yummy!!! I didnt stay in, I arrived at 7.15 am my surgeon was a little late but i went down to theatre at 11.30 and was back in my room around 1.15. one good tip is to keep sipping water as soon as you can after your op- dont rush to eat but keep as much fluids down you- i found this helped so much. i had tea and was allowed to go home around 7.30 pm (live just under 2 hrs away). who is your surgeon? if i can help anymore please ask. best of luck you wont look back. xxx

hi joanne, thanx a mil,im soo nervous, dont ask me why?!!i keep reading people sayin they are in excruciating pain the last few days ha ha,people never said dat a few weeks ago.what did you take into hos with you?do i bring pjs or slippers or anything like that?i am in with mr mahdi, who did you have?i didnt even meet him yet as i had consultation with mr alvi and then he realised he was already booked for the day i was in so they changed it but i didnt mind as ive heard good things about him so i trust him. how long were you in pain for?i have 2 kids, ones 6 and other 7 months.my other halfes mam is comming to help but im worrying wen she goes back.shes here foe a week, she lives in ireland and then ill be on my own at home in the day.i have no family over here, all in ireland.i am sending all my washing to dry cleaners ha but its just lifting the lil one and stuff.how are you feeling now?have you been measured yet?xx

Hi leonie, I wouldnt call it a pain as such its more an annoying tingling/burning sensation which started about 2 weeks post op, jojo reassured me along with other girls and im dealing with it as it will go eventually. i was only ever told about no lifting, exercise etc but they forgot to mention the strange sensations id get!!! i didnt go on forum until after my op cos im a born worrier but honestly everything has gone really well. mr alvi did my ba- what a nice man. after the op i wasnt in pain around my boobs but my arms were very painful so take your painkillers as often as you are allowed and drink loads of water- i cant explain enough how important fluids are after an op. getting out of bed was weird i was like a roly poly but you soon get used to that id put a pillow across my boobs and wriggle down the bed if no one to help- must of looked hilarious!!!
as for children- im a nursery nurse so have been very strict with myself in work and im not even allowed to sweep the floor- have a great manager!
also im not a spring chicken like all you ladies- im 41!!! my children are 18, 14 and 13 and have been little hunnies to me, you must take care with your little one leonie especially as you need to take care with any lifting for 6 weeks. my hubby has been brill he told me to have all things id need for 1st few weeks at hand at waist height so i didnt stretch and it was a good tip.
im feeling good at the mo just got tingly sensation which is normal, im 4 weeks post op on tues so another couple of weeks to go til i get measured- its funny every time i go into my bathroom or bedroom i find myself having another look- im obsessed with them!! xxx

Good luck leonie ur b fine i loved the whole experience, accept help when its offered and ask for it when its not. I wasnt in alot of pain i would say discomfort. I took my painkkillers every four hours for the first couple of days even if i didnt need them which i was advised to by the nurse and then found gradually as the days went on i wasnt taking any. And by 7days i wasnt taking any. Cant wait to read ur story xx
