Hi ladies, I haven’t been on here for a while so it would be good to talk to some of you lovely girlies again!
I’m 6 weeks PO tomorrow and my boobs are quite sore again, they were fine for a while, no pain at all, other than sensitive nips! I could even sleep on my front! Well, yesterday they were becoming really sore and today I have noticed a lump that is incredibly painful. It’s found is about the implant close to the armpit. Am I worried for nothing!
What’s more is I had my 6 week PO today and I thought Mr Singh would notice it but he just examined the implant close to the nipple. I was meant to tell him about it but I had my little 1 year old with me and there was quite a queue waiting to be seen so it was all very rushed!
Anyone please help, I’m really worried I’ve done something!!
xx
Can you call your nurse now – I think MYA has a 24/7 helpline (but I don’t know the details)? Honestly, I don’t want you to be worrying about it all night, especially with a little one to look after too. I’m sure it’s nothing to be concerned about, and just a blip in the healing process or even something totally unrelated to the implant, and she can put your mind at rest or arrange for you to have another appointment when it’s less rushed. Every day brings something different, doesn’t it? All part of the journey. Look after yourself. x
Yeah that is a very good point! I think i will definitely phone them. I have a new PC so I have emailed her too. I just feel so annoyed with myself that I didn’t ask him. I asked him about the pain and he just said it was hormones as I have just come off my period and he felt them but didn’t feel on top. It was only when I got home that I had a proper feel and there is definitely a lump! I just hope it’s not a hematoma!
Thanks hun xx

After researching it could be sermoma or hematoma, or in fact a reactive lymph node. Is yours about an 1/2 inch above the implant and a inch below your armpit?? This is where your glands are. Have a feel of the other side in the same place. Either way, it needs to be checked by your surgeon.
I’m so annoyed I went all the way for a 5 minute appointment! I went all the way to London on public transport with a 1 year old. That’s 1 bus, 1 mainline and 2 trains in the rain and up and down countless stairs! I’m starting to think the extra lifting of lifting the pram for the stairs and clasping it for the bus might have caused the problems
Also are you left handed? Because you use it more it causes more stress on the implant so that side is often the more painful and first to drop. I hope you find some answers too. xx
To be honest, it is more like the latter. If you notice any redness around that area however then it could very possibly be a hematoma and they will need to be drained. Not nice! Hopefully it should be ok though! Let me know how you get on too xx
Swago, I hope it all goes well for you, let us know how you get on! xxx
