Hey guys, So if im currently a 32a/b and going for either 410cc or 460hp what size Macom bra do I need to order? Do I need the small (32) or medium (34)?? The black 34 surgical bra has been out of stock for what seems like months. Does any other website sell them?
Also do you girls recommend a Macom over a cheep Asda Bra?? Mwah x
Fairydust, I bought 2 Macom bras and got told to send them back by Mr Aurakzai. He says Asda is the best. The Macom bras I had bought were front fastening and he said you shouldn’t be wearing front fastening after a BA as they pull your boobs together and can be harmful in terms of healing. x
Oh really? But how are you meant to fasten it on your own got after op if it’s not front fastening? I’ve heard some of the girls on here say that the cheeper Asda ones rub on the scars and cause them to be in a bit of pain?
If you fasten the bra at the front of you then swing it round to it’s position at the back before putting your arms through (if you get my drift). I really thought the Macom bras were comfy too. I’ve bought Asda’s post surgery bras off their website and they’re comfy. I’ve also bought some really comfy sports bras off ebay (link below). I recommend them. I’ve tried them on with my rice boobs. I’d order the next back size up though as I’m a 34 and needed 36 (and that’s without any swelling!).
Oh ok I catch ya drift. (pretty much how I do it now then) lol.
All surgeons say different hey. Some surgeons say no bra for 6 weeks, others say use a sports bra or put a safety pin in the middle of the bra to bring your implants in closer together. Some say Macom and others say just go to Asda. If it was so bad to wear according to Mya then why can you put Mya in the discount box to get 10% off. (although I’ve found out if you put mybreast you get 15%). Just so confusing. x
I would go for the medium due to swelling. I have the macom & the Asda ones and the Asda are really uncomfortable compared to the macom. It doesnt even feel like you are wearing one. Also as you have to sleep upright for a week or so the fastener on the asda dig into your back, as well as rubbing on the scars. They are expensive but after paying out so much for the op it seems silly only spending £4 on a bra to support, I had Mr Traynor & he recommended the macom to me xx
Eee I never knew that! I paid full price as well! Glad I sent them back for a refund. Trouble is, now I’m humming and haahing over the sizes of other bras to get. Macom’s are expensive but at least you don’t have to guess what cup size you’re going to be with them. I’m faffing about with other ones wondering whether I’ll be a C or D cup. You just go with what you feel best Fairydust. I’ll probably order all these other bras and they won’t fit when I get my new hooters. x
Hey Paulat, Yeah thats what I was thinking. Im more than happy to pay the money because as you say it seems silly to pay all that money for the op to follow up with the cheepest bra on the market. Was just wondering comfort wise which was best and needed opinions. My surgeon told me I don’t need to sleep upright as that was one of my questions when I met him. He said just very slightly elevated? I know it helps with swelling etc but you don’t have to sleep mega upright do you? x
Macom bras were the best for me i order my normal back size but i think some girls ordered the size bigger x x
Ive not had my op yet but ive got my macoms, asda and sum nike sports bras at the ready So i can just see what feels rite after and i can just heal without bra drama xx
I had a Macom and Asda bras, to see what would be better at the time. I opted for the Asda and found the Macom really uncomfortable. I seem to be in the minority though. However, for me, it was a waste of money. X
I have Asda, the eBay one, Tesco high impact, marks and spensers post surgery and macom. Lol I was well prepared. I found Asda the least supportive and rubs on my scar. Macom to begin I didn’t like but now I’ve realised it’s the most comfortable and since I’ve bought it my scar is less itchy and boobs hurt less. Today I changed into my Tesco one which is second best after macom for me and my boobs and scar was v sore today so couldn’t wait to wear macom. It’s for 6 weeks plus to wear support bras you might as well get quality to last and support.
I didn’t buy a Macom and wore a asda post op bra, a week ago the bra rubbed the scab off my scar and made it swell up and burn. I thought I’d got an infection, the nurse put me on anti biotics and luckily it wasnt an infection but it could easily have been as without the scab anything can get in. The scabs meant to naturally drop off. I rushed to buy a Macom last week and it’s so comfy and it’s safe for the scars. I wish I’d got it sooner, a post op must I’d say x
I am 36 back & ordered large! Perfect when had swelling!
Then after 3 days it started rubbing scars, so I had to leave bottom hock & eyes undone!
Now 3 weeks po it is baggy around the top, fits at middle area of boob and rubs scars!
All in all I haven’t liked my Macom but we all different! A good sport bra from marks would b my choice!
I bought a support bra from tesco £6 – feels comfy but again rubs scars
I bought a sport bra from tesco £6 – again feels comfy, looks the best but rubs scars…
So its a gamble with bra’s in my opinion!
Also I hate them all cos they flatten my boobs Down so much which result in boobs not noticable in clothes at all…
I can’t wait to get in a proper bra!!!
I look forward to sitting down at night & taking bra off for a break….
No matter what anyone says U’ll have ur own experience with bra’s PO cos we all different shapes & sizes…
Good luck!! Xx
Oh thanks guys. I think i’ll order the Macom first off so I have something to wear as soon as I come out of hospital and then when I know what size I end up I’ll go to M&S so I can wear it when Macom is in wash.
So go for a size bigger (34) & Im guessing the 1007 is better than the 1010 Code as it hasn’t got the elasticated bottom?
Thanks for all ya views ladies xxx
