I’ve got two weeks left till my op with Mr F, I was talking to my friend who has natural big boobs, she went up to a H cup while breast feeding. We was talking about my own boobs after the op she said she has to wear a soft bra to bed to support her boobs so she doesn’t get stretch marks. She also said to wear the bra for as long as the surgeon says which I would but also to wear a good support bra. I have brought sports bra but they are low impact so should I get high impact sport bras or shall I just go for the macom. HELP decisions decisions. Maybe its cause getting nearer to the op date but I’m excited wow to be having a pair of boobs x x
hi when is your op? do you have mr fallahdar ? i have bought a macom bra was told by my nurse x
i wore a high impact sports bra and it done the job it needed too and a quarter of the price of a macom, for me my tesco sports bra was fine xx
Hi reecara yeah I’ve got Mr fallahadar on the 19th dec at welbeck clinic. Thanks nikki was thinking if just getting the sports bra just wanted to see what others thought off shopping next weekend gotta be done as the weekend after ill be all ova the place he he x x
in the early days i just worse my sports bra..the macom was awful while they were healing, its a really rough material on super sensitive boobs! and it compressed them in too much and was too tight..ended up just in more pain and felt the sports bras were fine…but by week3-4 i started wearing my macom and it fits fine now the swelling has gone, im glad i got it now coz i like to sleep init xx
Thanks claire ill get the high impact sports one then if need be get the macom at a later stage worried now. Have any of u had to wear a chest band as well. I sleep naked so having to wear a bra or something in bed is going to be so annoying grr lool x x
i would recomend the total support bras in marks and spenser, think they are £16 so alot cheaper than macom and they were brilliant for me just after my surgery. still wear them now from time to time as they are so comfy and soft on the scars. you dont necesarily need a high impact bra because its not as though your going to be exercising are doing much movement. but everyone is different. the main thing you need to find is a bra thats comfortable and is supporting. the rest is down to personal choice x
Cheers shelley x x
is it best to get a sports bra with a front zip ? or normal one/
I’ve tried to find ones that do up at the front but was told on here the nurse will help u do it up. Then I thought my daughter can do it up for me when I’m home
yeh i did that coops my 11 year old son now an expert at doing up and undoing, good practice i thought lol x
Lol joanne very good practise n ure making them feel involved on the surgery haha x x
I’ve been told M&S sports bra, told not to waste my money on Macom so I won’t be doing. I’m going to get one for when I come from hospital then see how big I am before I buy amymore.. All recommended by my surgeon and PC. X suits me if I’m saving money too
Yeah I think ure right catherine as the macom is about 30 or prop even more got a cheap one in asda might get the one from marks and sparks just to make myself feel better x x
hey girls, you do manage alot better than you think you’re going to, the first few days, you do feel rough and fragile but it gets easier getting in and out of your bras. I swore by my macom for weeks and now i still sleep in high impact sports bras every night, ive got a shock absorber, still £28. i found some of the straps on asda and tesco ones kept going baggy so i stuck with the better quality ones xx
Thanks blondie good to hear how everybody feels with different bras x x
YeP I’m going to get one as soon as I’ve made my decision on sizes !! X x
