    Hey Ladies

When i had my original surgery back in november last year i used ASDA and Marks and Spencers sports bras but still had to pin then in the middle as i felt they never pulled my boobs together.

Now ive just had my revision surgery last week i decided b4 hand to order one of the Macom bras online and im so glad i invested, although it did set me back £38 (including P&P) its the best decision i made and wish i had invested last time round. They pull your boobs together so tight and are really comfortable.

So if you still shopping for your sports bra i would totally recommend them, after all your paying so much for your surgery you wanna make sure the bra you wear during your healing time is doing them justice xx

    Hi,

I will say to pre ops that the macom bras are good, especially re scars but i found that mine was so restrictive and not very supportive, the best bra i had was a shock absorber bra.

It’s so difficult as it depends so much on shape and size.

Glad the macom worked for you x

Hi Lottie, Im thinking I may buy a Macom…. They do up at the front right?? I like the look of the black one with elastic because it looks like it sits lower down on your body.

But Im sure I heard its not best to have those that do up at the front cause it pulls your boobs together… Im really considering one though as Im not sure what size I will be afterwards:?

I bought Macom bras and my surgeon told me to send them back and get Asda. In his opinion, you shouldn’t be pushing your boobs together when trying to heal. Shame though as I really liked the comfort of the Macom when I tried it on. Sometimes still wish I’d kept them. His opinion may not be the right one. Afterall, they’re designed especially for post surgery so must be ok.

    Hey

Well I’m guessing each surgeons post care advice will differ depending on what they believe works. The ASDA ones didn’t wrk for me at all my boobs were spread apart alot nd didn’t give me the right support what so ever.

The Macom bra I got was the black one that Duz up at the front nd it’s so comfty nd pulls my boobs in nicely ( no more safety pins, lol) plus wig these u dnt have to judge cup size it jus goes off ya back size, 34 36 etc.

    xx

    Hey

Whey I’ve had my original surgery back in November with Dr Aurakzai and my Revision surgery with him last Tuesday and he never once said to me avoid the Macom Bra. He also told me that my boobs should be pulled together to give them the right support.

When I had my original surgery in November I got the next size up in the back in the ASDA sports bra but this time round got my right back size in the MACOM nd it fits perfectly. Why dnt u try purchasing a Macom 1 and ASDA 1 nd c which u find best??? After all ur paying alot for ur surgery nd the cost of buying 1 of each of those bras wnt even cum close to ur surgery cost.

really Lisa thats wierd he never told me that

did he also suggest to you to do these excercises, where you use opposit hand to boob and put you hand either side of your boob and pull your boobs in towards the middle so they touch???

Hi Fairydust.. I noticed the different codes too… I am thinking of going for whichever one sits furthers down the body..thinking it may not interfere too much with the incisions then??

1007 is the code the nurse recommends, xx

    wierd like that lisa

At 1st once they took dressings off he told me to wash with hibi scrub and use sudocream only. Then after a few weeks when i seen him again he told me it was okay to stop using that stuff and just use bio oil

Have you just used bio oil from day 1????

Mizzljs if your going for the 1 that duz up at the front and lies lower then i wud suggest 32, as im 34 and bought 34 and it fits prefetly

    Hi girls,

Mr Adamo said that he dooesn’t really think it’s necessary to wear a bra but I’ve ordered one anyway and want to wear it…

I had my op on Wednesday and it still hasn’t arrived in the post… Royal Mail reckons it should be here by tomorrow… I’m worried that I’ve gone 4 days without wearing a bra and my boobs are sitting quite far apart and feel so stiff that I don’t think they’re going to be moving anywhere when I try and put the bra on…. I can also imagine them hurting when I try to put it on.
