You don’t have to buy one. There are mixed opinions about them, some say they’re great and better than other sports bra because they’re more supportive but others have found them really uncomfortable, I don’t know if that’s just the macom though or if it’s the fact they’re post op and uncomfortable.

You could buy one and then a sports bra from asda or tesco, which I’ve heard are good. I’ve got a macom ready and will probs buy another from asda or tesco for when the macoms being washed.

Yeah I’ve bought 3 from asda, I just hope they’re good enough to do the job of keeping them in place and upright. xx

i was advised to get a 36D sports bra, so i got one from tescos and its shit, i ordered my macom at 3/4 days PO, it doesnt sit right on the cups and the straps dont go tight enough. cant wait for my macom to come to see if it makes any difference so ill let you know.

Ah thank you Alex, Yeah I was thinking, if the asda ones aren’t good I suppose I could have a macom in a few days :) xx

Ive worn Asda’s own sports bras for 4 weeks since my op and have found them really comfy. I couldnt get on with my Macom, found it pushed my boobs together so much they really hurt! Should sell it really..x

Hi Kezza, which asda bra did you get? looked at them today and there is all cotton ones (low support) i think it said or there is ones that are cotton and elastic as well. Or does it not really matter?? Thanks xx

hi – i have got a macom and going to buy an asda one too. Also got a shock absorber bra too.

my macom came within 2 days of ordering it, dead quick. I’m a 32 back but have ordered a med as they are quite tight.

I’ve had to split time between my macom and my Asda sports bra, the macom offers incredible support and is great in the early days as it’s front fastening but it is quite restrictive to wear all of the time. I’m wearing my macom on the tightest all night and then changing into my asda one for going out in the day, then back into my macom when i’m just laying around the house.

The macom is very high cut and the asda one is low cut, so doing it that way, i can wear nice things out without the bra showing under everything xx

Thanks Kezza, looks nice might be that one.

Blondie – thats what i thought about doing, wearing macom at night. How are you feeling now? Are you better?

Yeh someone else said shock absorber is good will have to check that out as well. Thanks girls :) xx
