Hey everyone, just wondering how many days after you had your cast off till you wore make-up/powder etc. on your nose? Thanks everyone xxxxx
Im on the case,lol.xxx
Mario said you can put it on as soon as you feel comfortable, today if you want,he is thrilled that you love it,xxx
Ahh!! Yay!! Say thank you so much to him, I honestly will never forget what that man has done to my confidence! Thanks for asking him for me hun xxxxxxx
Hey Hunnie, have you put some make up on it ?
Its been like 3 and a half weeks since my op now and I dont want to rub make up on my nose it feels really funny doesnt hurt but I get a bit freaked out but the feeling !!
Must just be me hehe xx
meg991,I would follow your surgeons instructions honey, not everyones the same and your surgeon may not advise you put makeup on for whatever reason,or then he may, check with your nurse honey before you apply make up,talias information was individual to her honey.xxx
Tina… you are simply amazing! haha can you please ask him to make some dates available for BA in late December!!!
xxx
Tina2011 how r u so knowledgable? Do you work for MYA? XXXX
lisabrown88,I dont work for MYA honey,drewberry87,MYA are the only ones who can make his dates available sweety, but I am sure if they can fit you in with him they will let you know.xxxx
I had a consultation with Mr G a few weeks ago and he recommended not putting any makeup on for at least four months after the op!! As when your nose is healing, putting make up on it, then having to apply pressure getting it off, could make the scar tissue heal thicker. xxx
You are meant to wash it though right? Eeek I hope so have been gently cleaning mine with toner and cotton-wool?x
Hi Girls
Yes Dr G said the same to me, don’t touch it pat it rub it etc etc. He is very particular in this no ice packs arnicalm cream etc etc. BUT every surgeon is different like Tina said so you can only follow the advice you have been given. I haven’t put any makeup on my nose yet although have had to very gently apply some moisturiser as its been so dry from the bandages and cast. Frightened to touch it in case it moves or swells. Thats just me being para though!!!
I’ve put some antiseptic cream on mine for the first couple of days and it really helped the quality of skin, but just patted it on really gently. I think caution is the best way forward xx
love readng these posts, you girls are fab,the surgeons must be very pleased that you are all taking such good care of yourselves, well done girls, you are all going to look amazing.xxxx
I know…its probably the only advice I have ever followed lol
Lets hope so!!!
Hahahaha Filly! i know the feeling!! Well girls I put some make-up on very gently with a brush, all good so far, it’s actually helping me to not touch my nose as I go into automatic pilot and am careful not to smudge the powder! I’ll let you know if it affects the skin tomorrow – that said i did have closed surgery so my scars aren’t being touched at all xxx
