making something out of nothing, but i thought i was okay :(

Last night i was looking at my scars and noticed on my right boob at the end it looked a bit yellow and didnt look as tight as all the rest of it. So as i pushed underneath it to close it up it seeped a bit! Ahh i was so upset that its not all closed up.

I rang the nurse and i’m waiting on a call back today to be seen later.

She said that i will probably just need another steri strip on it to help it heal but i pray to god its not infected.

My other worry is that i’m nearly 3 weeks post op now and scared that its to far along for this to close up naturally now!! xx

Hi Laurenf – did you have disolvable stitches? Keep the area clean and sterile, no body cream or anything till you’ve spoken to your nurse. I’m also 3 weeks PO and last week i noticed my scars had been crusty like they’d weeped (sorry, disgusting i know!) but i soaked a flannel in boiling water from kettle so that it was sterile and gently wiped the scars and since then i’ve not had (touch wood) any issues. xx

Hey, Yeah thats what i have been doing. Not touching it or getting it wet and so on until i’ve been! I just itching to go see the nurse asap but going have to wait till the end of today! x
