Manchester hospital possibly not an option anymore??

Hi I went for my pre op today, my prospective date is the 3rd of March, maybe sooner dependant on cicumstances. I was told by the nurse that Mya may nolonger be using the Manchester hospital for procedures but she was’nt sure as it is ‘under discussion’ at the moment. Instead they will probably use a hopsital in Rochester but again thats a maybe. I don’t like the uncertainty as Manchester was perfect for me she said it may well be at the Manchester hospital but again, it’s a maybe..anyone else heard about this? she was absolutely LOVELY and made my pre op fun even though i went in trembling, lol, cheers! i’m seeing Dr Traynor again in 2 weeks so im going to ask him about this, i don’t know if it just applies to Dr Traynor or all the Mya surgeons..hmmmm..if anyone sees Dr Traynor sooner will you please ask and let me know xx

Hey, I just posted about my pre-op, which I had tonight. The nurse didn’t mention that to me. Maybe it’s happening after a certain date, my op is 3 weeks away xxx

Hope not cos ive paid for a hotel for two nights!! I will be livid. My ops 23rd march. Im gonna email my pc now xx

omg things like this always happen to me im booked on 23rd too at manchester x

i bloody hope not too! I’m booked for the 7th of April and have booked and paid for a nearly hotel for 3 nights and also taken the time a need off work! I Hope they don’t mess the hospital or dates around…

Has any one heard any news?

Yhe i know… .Think im gonna ask for my deposit back. If we cancelled now or changed anything we would get charged. What if the put mr traynor too far away too!!

Please just keep it at Manchester until after April the 7th!

My PC rung me today as she’d seen that i was worried on here, bless her, and she said that she’s rung head office and they don’t know anything about the matter. so she said to carry on as normal with my prep, fingers crossed MLH will be running as usual xx

Just a bit of info re mlh i was there today & one of the nurses in Theatre told me that they have known it was closing from Jan 2nd this year, so i dunno why they were still telling girls that there op was going to be there. Might be worth mentioning if trying to get refunds for hotels xxx

Thank u paula. Thats a disgrace. I asked my pc as did many other girls when this was posted and we were.told that it was not true eeeeeeesssssshhhhh
