so i had my first appointment with my pc yesterday, didnt really inform me of anything new really but was good to get the ball rolling. if youve done alot of research and already know what the procedure consists of id try and see ur pc and then your surgeon on the same day, yesterday seems like a little bit of a wasted journey but maybe thats because ive done my research. she was really nice thought and reassured me about anything i wasnt too sure on such as complications etc…
the one thing i needed to know yesterday was the cost of a breast enlargement, for a day case its £3850 and over night its £4250, obviously would be more if you go over the standard size of implants. also 2 offers cannot be used together, i had a friend referral that would save me £150 and also £250 off from a competition i entered and won years ago lol but i can only use 1
anyway i asked about finance which she was happy to help me with, although seemed slightyl shocked when i mentioned about the 1 years 0% finance and she wasnt sure if they still did it, which she checked and they do. so im assuming they dont offer you this unless you mention it… so i asked the apr for the standard loan and she said the apr was something like 18.5!!! now i dunno how u all feel but i think thats way too steep lol altho i think it does start at around 8% so im guessing theyll set ur apr dependant on ur financial situation. im waitin for a reply about the finance and i should know by monday but at this apr seems like it be paying back alot of money to use there services. she estimates that it would be around £340 a month for 12 months, roughly, but the first month would be around £540 dues to administration fees, this is on top of a £500 deposit you need to give mya to secure your booking. you also need to pay 21 days before your surgery if any1s not aware of this.
im gona wait and see what she says about finance but i have found cheaper online or im considering saving up for a month or 2 and then puttin the rest on a credit card that has 0% for a year…if im accepted. if not its gona be mega saving time
not sure if this post will helpy any1 but thought id share what i learnt yesterday, hoping to see gary trainor next week aswell to see what size implants i can go upto, im hopin a very natural looking DD. xxx
Hi Hunn, im getting my surgery with dr traynor too. I wanted super natural post op boobs too so opted for the responsive implants. I wouldn’t go with the finance option unless its 0% the credit card seems like a much better idea, and you can pay it off at your own pace too. Say you want to pay less one month then make it up the month after. The deposit right now should be £100, that’s what I paid. xx
seems so hard to sort it all out though atm, loadsa say o% finance for a year with a maybe a 2% handling fee… id be really worried aout hidden charges. so confusing lol
Yeah, I’m going for the credit card option too. Get a tesco one and you can earn points on the money you spend on your BA!
i saw the tesco one, so what will you have to pay for that. sorry if im sounding abit dumb i dont do credit cards lol
im hoping to save a grand so prob put £2500 on a credit card and pay back a set amount each month, which would be like £208 ish a month with no fees… so with tesco its 0% and no hiddens fees??
Font worry about sounding dumb Hunn you should see some of my posts! Lol I don’t know anything about credit cards either never had one but I have a telco contract and have found that as a company they are very good. Just ring them up and ask them what the deal is. All the better if you get points! That’ll be your food shopping sorted for a while =] xxx
yeah thanks ur a great help i tried to apply online last nite but was an error at the end for some reason. ill try again after work
im excited just want them done now!! xx
so been offered a tesco card 0% finance for a year, with a credit limit of £2000, i dont earn loads… was hopin for £2500 then would have js over a grand to save. well aslong as im a day case. least i know i can get it tho, gona see the surgeon 1st and then apply properly
dies any1 know what happens with the tesco card, do they set you a monthy repayment or do you have to do it all your self? cause i obviously wana pay it off within the year xx
Not sure hunn, best thing to do is to ring them and make sure when you do get it, to get everything in writing. It’s great news that they’ve offered you it
maybe you can get 500 on another card? Solong as you pay them off in a year you’ll be fine
xx
mebe its a good idea to only get £2000 that way i cant go mad, can pay it off and cut it up haha… will just have to save for a couple of months for the rest
Credit card hunni. And transfer balance each year on to 0%thenu never pay more than u should
ugh im not impressed last nitght i was accepted with a £2000 limit, dont wana sort anything yet until i kno exactly wen my op is… now when i go on its sayin im not eligible
wtf!!!
