Marios post op'ers…

Hi girls,

I have my BA on 5th may with Mario and was just wondering what post op bras you recommend and also whether the nurse or surgeon recommends any or if there is anything specific Mario advises for post op?

Mario usually recommends a band for the first two weeks, and after that iv used tesco high impact sports bras, so comfy xx

Oh ok so that means no bra for the first 2 weeks then? Everyone talks about Macom bras?! Is it just down to personal choice as to what bra you do use?xx

I am looking at bras now so will have a peep on tesco now xx

yup no bra, was a killer in winter, so your lucky really! apparently some surgeons dont recommend the macoms bras any more (from reading on here), so sports bras are the way forward, but choosing which is up to you, m&s do the larger sizes, and quite cheap, and they also do front fastening ones as well. its best to get a high impact though, as they support your new assets the most xx

Also how do you know what cup size to get lol i probs sound reallly stupid! You need to go up 1 size on back size dont you?x

i asked Mario this, and he said get a d and dd, i havent worn the d in two weeks now, as its far to tight and i had 380’s from a 32a, i did get 34’s though, and now they are too big, im off to buy some new sports bras from the gym after my six week check in the size i will be then, even though my boobs are still high and hard xx

I am seeing mario at end of march so can ask what size he recommends to get! So many decisions lol i dont do decisions so not very easy for me aha! 9 weeks today seems like I have forever to get bras etc but i no it will be here before i no it and ill be running around like a headless chicken lol! no probs at all hun. i had 18 days to do all mine in, and i struggled, didnt get the dd’s until after my op, it was nice to throw all my old bras out and when the d went as well, made me even happier

it wasnt that bad, i hardly left the house, and when i did i made the fella turn the car into a sauna, and only went to places i knew i would be warm, even with numb boobs, sore nipples arent nice

time will fly by, and your new boobs will be here and on display soon enough xx

i had mario and he made me wear the dreaded breast band too but thankfully it was only for a week im now wearing the tesco high impact sports bra too and i find it really comfortable. im wearing 32d from 32a/b with 380 unders, i had a sneaky measure a few days ago and was measured at 30dd but as yet not been able to find a sports bra in a ddcup with a 30 back xx

Oh god, i dont think id be able to do it in 18 days i no i would forget most things lol! I guess you dont feel up to going out at first anyway! I no, its scary lol will be in hosp this time 9 weeks away lol! I cannot wait to chuck all my bras out and also go out and buy lots of pretty bras…got to be the best feeling ever, cannot wait to have boobies !

Im going from 36a(well mario said 34 but i wear 36 lol) and im having either 300/340 or 380 overs but i am tubular so depends what room he can make etc asked to be a D though! I bet your well chuffed Bek, i ould be at a DD lol do you mind if i add you chic?xx

i wanted my op as soon as possible, and that was the soonest, i didnt get a late space deal though, and i think i should have been offered the discount (think someone wasnt as honest with me as the forum is), but hey ho!

i went bra shopping in la senza as its so cheap atm, but as i was measured a 32f there, there was NO nice bras that i found even remotely nice, looked at the 32a’s and there was a wall full! sods law isnt it! im off to the trafford centre in just over a week, as my six week app is in manchester, so hoping their la senza is still open and they have some pretty bras in the sale too. i was measured a 30dd in debenhams, and their bras where horrid, and didnt fit, but she insisted i would end up a d if i was lucky as i still had swelling… which i really dont!

i do love my tesco sports bra, going to wear them for bed for ever, i dont think id ever be able to sleep braless now, but going braless in tops and dresses is such a nice feeling xx

I just nipped out to get m&s front fasten sports bra as the Macon bra’s are really hurting, I couldn’t fit in a g cup! I had 470 unders now 12 days post op – my boo s will not move together in the slightest and do the lady couldnt fasten the bra! The non-front fastening I can’t put on as my chest muscles are too sore to pull straps up my arms! I might be topless for a bit longer if I don’t find a sports bra that fits!!! X

aww bless ya natalie, i was the same, couldnt lift my straps up, and my boobs still wont move together its like the twins hate each other (or have magnets in, at the opposite ends to each other) xx

Hun, are you having unders or overs? You’ll only need the breast band if you’re having unders xx

hi hun ive just had 460cc unders from marrio russo in preston and i took macom bra, tesco bra, mns bra lol and he gave me breast band for 2weeks so im guessing thats what will happen but take them just incase xxx

Aww natalie, sorry to hear that the macoms were hurting! Sounds awful!

Hollybol im having overs as its corrective surgery for tubular boobs, he wont do unders had my heart set on unders lol!

believe me hunny i thought it was dragging but the last 4 …5 weeks just flew cannit believe im now one of the ones sitting here with boobs he he he honestly hunny it wont belong till your sitting on here with yours xxxx

I no it will fly by but just seems so far away, i mean its only 9 weeks…thats nothing really, just 2 months away lol! Can I add you hun? Are you happy with yours? Hows the pain…what you expected?xxx

I’ve had overs and they’re meant to hurt less so just concentrate on the positives xx

That is one bonus and to be fair im not really sure why i was so sure i wanted unders as i have seen just as many fab overs! How are you finding pain hun? You had a nipple lift too…Mario initiually said i needed a nipple lift then said he could do it without…yours look good from wat you can see under the tape etc…are you pleased?xx

I had 380 overs with mario in December. I didn’t wear a breast band and the nurse helped me into my macom bra a few hours after my op x

Ooo controversial (cant spell) lol so not everyone with Mario had breast band then, wonder what ill have then lol!

yeah hun sure im over the moon with mine and i think they will just get better with time..

going from 34B having high profile 460cc ive been told al be at least a DD so fingers crossed, pain has been quite sore but getting better by the day hun xx

Sorry if I’m being thick lol but what are tubulars?? I’m booked in with Mario on the 17th may I can’t wait.. Seeing him on the 23rd march so waiting to find out what size & if I’ll need a nip lift etc…

Nat…i didnt have a clue until i saw mario and he told me what they were and that i had them lol! Basically where you dont develop properly and where well in my case i have nothing underneath – thats how mario described it, they literally fold over…thought i was just saggy lol and they are far apart and nipple low…hard to explain…have a look on google images, easier if you see it!xx

I saw Mario after my surgery and he told be no bra for 4 weeks and breast band for first 2 weeks. I’m seeing him at 6 weeks which is next week and nurse said to wear sports bra from 4-6 weeks though not sure if this is supposed to be for day and night?! X

I had Mario 3 weeks ago and had 410 overs…I didn’t have to wear a band and went straight into my sports bra £4 from asda! I bought a 34D and DD and now E!! Xx

Oh god, everyone has been told diff then, i guess its down to the individual…I will take bras with me and see what happens then lol! DO they provide a breast band if you need it?
