I have read a lot online about massaging your boobs after implants. I asked my nurse she said massaging creams into them is fine as long as not directly on to the scars. I meant the vigorous masaage to each breast to help prevent capsular contracture. Anyone any ideas??

I think it just depends on what your surgeon suggests for you! My mum was told to massage hers but my friend was told not to… confusing! xx

Your surgeon or nurse will tell you how to do it,if they advise you massage honey,I would not give instructions on how I massage as you may try this yourself and do damage,I was actually shown what to do,this sounds like Im keeping secrets,Im not honey, you will be given instructions from your nurse or surgeon if they think you should massage, not all surgeons agree that you need to.

To be perfectly honest I felt a bit embarrassed having to do it,although no one could see me,It still felt weird.

Thanks for the advice Tina, yeh i think they would have told me prob if it was needed. The trouble with the internet is there is just too much info..you can’t help looking..but a lot of what you are looking at is misleading..and every surgeon has a different opinion..just wanted to know if it was a common thing to be doing.

I totally agree with you re internet, sometimes too much info is not always a good thing, because again, surgeons opinions vary,I think that we are all conscious that we want to give our boobie the best care possible,so the best advise is read up on things, make your self aware, but always follow your own surgeons instructions, that the best advise I can give.xxx
