Massaging post op

Hi girls, how long did you wait post op before you started massaging?

I started as soon as dressings were removed,about 2 weeks,avoiding scar area.xxx

I started rubbing palmers and bio oil straight away. Not sure if I’m actually massaging them though x

Tina- by massage, do you mean that you were just rubbing cream into the skin or were you manipulating the implant itself? I started rubbing bio oil onto the skin, avoiding scar area at 9 days post op, but that’s just gently with my fingertips. I’m not actually pushing or manipulating the implants at all. xx

I push them every now and again throughout the day, just checking they’re still there lol hope it will make them softer xx

It’s so confusing cos every surgeon is different. Mine doesn’t want me to massage and thinks they just need to be left alone to sit nicely in the pocket, but then other people say massaging them will make them drop/soften. X

I was massaging on my surgeons instructions,but every surgeon gives different post op instructions,so its best to go with what they say.xxx

omg no one said to me about massaging?? should i start? do you think this will cause any damage? i had unders so should i be massaging to help them soften and drop? please could someone tell me i had mr kazzazi and he or nurse never mentioned massaging thanks girls am a bit worried now as am 2 wks post op tomorrow catxx

I had overs and I was instructed to massage,your surgeon or nurse would have told you if you needed to massage,not all patients are the same,Laurakates surgeon didnt want her to massage mine did.It depends on the surgeon,always follow your personal post- op instructions.xxx

No one told me either catding, I just rub the bio oil in and poke them now and again x
