i wouldnt say they are supportive enough either, the nurses only said sports bra or macom, because they are so supportive. i think the maternity ones are more for comfort, and ease of breast feeding (i found them comfy when my boobs swelled in pregnancy, but they couldnt support me)

im pre-op as well, mine is monday, but i have just bought cheap sports bras, but good ones (i got them in the sales) as i domt fancy spending so much on a macom to never wear it again (plus i would need 2 for washing etc… and thats just silly priced really) xx

I had a maternity bra, it was extremely supportive and they are made for support as well as comfort because of the weight of your boobs during pregnancy they have to be supportive because of the milk coming through and to stop that weight from causing sagging etc. I found it much more comfy and supportive than any sports bra and I went through about 4 different sports bras so I tried a few! M&S do a great one and I still wear it for work because it’s so comfy and supportive and I’m about 15 weeks post op now. Mine has no seams across the front which really helped post op when my boobs were really sensitive where the sports bras tended to rub
