Any advice?? What do i need to buy beforehand? I’m buying a Macom bra but thinking of getting a sports bra too just incase that’s not too comfortable and to wear inbetween washes etc, any thoughts on best ones?

Is it worth getting a V Pillow, does it really make it that much more comfortable? Thanks girls, so excited!!!! xx

Oh also what are the rules on using cocobutter and bio oil after the op? How long do you have to wait? xx

Hey hun good luck, deffo get a V-pillow for sleeping when you get home, i have a macom bra and also a lonsdale one £6 from sportsdirect.com and the lonsdale is really comfortable. Also Id reccomend taking some normal paracetemol so you don’t need the co-codomal they prescribe as it really nocks ye, makes you constipated and drowsy. xx

Im 5 days PO and using cocoa buter on the tops of my boobs not underneath or incisions though xx

Oh,i’d recommend taking mints aswell. Incase ur like me after the op (very sick!) Mint helps relieve sickness. If u get the sweety ones,like humbugs that shud give u sum energy too.

Remember to take a pillow with u for in the car and throat lozengers incase ur throat hurts afterwards.

Hey goodluck hun, i got my v-pillow from argos for like £6 or something. I couldn’t start using anything on my scars until about 6 weeks once the incisions had fully closed up as otherwise they can end up getting infected, what size are you having? xx

Can get a vpillow from argos. 9quid. Cant put bio oil on ur scars until they are healed. I think 2 weeks? Not quite sure!xx

I got my v-piollow from Amazon, I had a cesearean and used a cheap version of bio oil for that (rescue oil – pound shop) and it worked just as good, so got loads of that but will wait till im healed before using it, xx

Oh and on the Macom website they only had the bra without the elastic, does it make much difference? xx

That’s good to know because bio oil is SO expensive! Really really worried about stretch marks, i already have lots of faint little ones on the tops of my boobs, just hoping that they fade when stretched rather than get worse!! xx

ive been using bio oil and cocoa butter for a few weeks every now and then and my ops 3 weeks away lol, im hoping it will help loosen the skin abit before i get mine in and help prevent stretch marks xxx im just excited to have it done i think. boots has 3 for 2 on atm, i know bio oils dear i got the big £20 one and managed to get 2 tubs of cocoa butter too. the bio oils still full and ive used a fair bit so u def get ur moneys worth. xxx

Thanks Leanne, i’ll have a look in boots then, hopefully get loads of the stuff and cake myself in it all so i don’t get stretch marks! Yeah you’re right summerandbulbs, it’s all worth it in the end!
