hi girls, so im currently 12 days post op and got told last monday that i could take my breast band off and wear a sports bra.dr Mario russo told me that before my op i was a 30a(never been measured as i never had anything to measure) so i got a 34c sports bra from primark (they did not have a 30 back)but it seemed to fit my back fine.

Im not to sure if my sports bra is to tight or not. it feels fine when i have it on but when i take it off to clean myself i am left with big marks from where the bra has been and also across my boobs……..does that sound to tight or should that be fine?

    hiya hun

ive never need to wear a sports bra before (not enough there to need holding down) but i think if your being left with red marks across your boobs it probably too tight bra’s shouldnt mark you that bad might be worth goin an tryin on a few different sizes on

I had my surgery on Friday and I’ve tried to wear a sports bra but it is too painful! I’ve tried all different sizes but all of them make me uncomfortable. I had Mr Singh so I have the white tape on – do you think this is enough support? xx

    hi girls

i was looking on the peacocks website the other day and they have a lace firm control bra that doesnt have underwiring in it. beccause it lace it should strech across your boobs but still give support.

i’d ask your surgeon/nurse if its ok to wear it first though.

    hope that helps

    xx

Mememe the tape alone is fine as long as you can bare it. I took mine off x

I am scared to take mine off! I feel like it is holding everything in place. I don’t have my post-op consult until Mon 8th Aug which seems ages away for a check up! x

I was so nervous too but it hurt so much. I took the top and middle bits off and kept the bottom bit on across the incisions, haven’t taken pain killers since. My next appointment is thursday 4th, I definitely couldn’t wait til then x

I had to ring the nurse this morning because my stomach was bloated like a balloon, I was in so much pain I didn’t know what to do with myself!! She told me to switch pain killers and get some senakot (lol!) .. Have you had any tummy pain similar? x

I wasn’t prepared for the tummy pain! My chest isn’t hurting much at all, only a few twinges. Senakot packet says only 2 a day, I took a couple of Rennies too. Just going to eat fruit and vegetables!! x

I think it is something to do with the general anesthetic – it puts your system to sleep – so it takes a while for your system to wake up again! I would advise to start taking a natural laxative as soon as you wake up and drink lots of water xx

oh really..good to know to be prepared! i had a hernia op on my tum n got all bloated but i thot that was coz of surgery on tummy…thanks for the heads up! xx

Hey girls don’t worry. Everyone gets it. I was constipated for 4 days and tool

Senacot for 2 days before it had an effect. My tummy was bloated for

8 or 9 days and looked 6 months pregnant. It’s normal and will go. It’s the anaesthetic rather than the painkillers. Xx
