Might be a stupid question but…….

How long did people wear the socks for? I had my op yesterday and I’ve still got them on. Called the nurse to ask but she didn’t ring me back yet.

supose to wear em 48hrs hun but lots of ppl dont xx

U wear them when ur having the op and in the hospital, i took mine of to go back to the hospital wore them for the train ride home the next day then threw them in the bin… U only need to wear them longer than ur op if u r goin to be not moving for a while. my tain home was 3 hrs so that is why the nurse recommended to wear them. xx

Oh okay, thanks guys. Might wear them tonight then and ditch em tomorrow. 

I only wore mine the day of surgery. Soon as I left they were off xxx

I wore mine for 2 weeks, my mum had dvt, so i did think this may help me, if it runs in the family. xx

I was not given any to wear! Think every surgeon must follow different guidelines x

i was given some in hospital last thurs. the nurse there said i had to wear for 1wk only taking them off to wash then another wk to go bed in

ive still got mine on.. 2 days post op

Ooooops.i didnt even get told i had to keep them on. I took mine off when i left the hospital lol!! Xx
