Hi girlies
Well I officially feel human again so thought I’d share my story with you all. Here goes…
I have always been paranoid about the lack of boobs I have (had). I know it’s really affected my confidence and life decisions. Sounds silly but very true. After meeting my amazing boyfriend 6 years ago my confidence improved but I still felt uncomfortable with my body. I was honest with him from the start and told him I would eventually like to have a BA. He was always very supportive and said that one day we would be able to afford it. Well we reviewed the finances this year and made the decision together that the time was right. I went with my mum to Newcastle for my first PC appointment and consultation on the same day. My PC checked Mario’s dates and his last October appointment was on the exact day I wanted (first day of half term hols). I was over the moon so paid my deposit there and then. I couldn’t believe it was actually happening after 11years of wanting and waiting. The following 7 weeks at work were torture. I had to do my best to pad my bra out so that it wouldn’t be too obvious when I returned to school.
Anyway, my day finally drew closer but on the Friday before I was due to go to Preston I received a call saying that First Trust Hospital were having problems with their hot water so my op had to be put back to the Tuesday. I was devastated as it just seemed like it was never going to happen. For the next three days I was adamant that id receive a call to say it had to be cancelled all together. Thankfully that call never came. Me and my mum headed to Preston on the Monday as originally planned. We went shopping for the day and had a lovely meal in the pub next to the Ibis hotel that we stayed in. That night I didn’t sleep a wink with excitement. Me and my mum got up at 6 and headed over to the hospital at 7:10. When I arrived I was shown to room 7 by one of the lovely nurses. I made myself comfortable and at about 7:40 a different nurse (I think she was new) came in and asked me lots of questions and weighed me. I asked her when I would be operated on as every hour counted towards my recovery especially after being delayed by one day. She told me I would go down at about 12pm. Throughout the morning lots of people came in to introduce themselves; anaesthetist, surgery nurse, surgery doctor, post op doctor. It was all very overwhelming but everyone was so nice. At 11:30 Mario came in to draw on me and confirm what result I was wanting (natural C cup). All the time he was there it was soooo embarrassing as my mum was flirting with him the whole time. 15 minutes later the surgery doctor came to get me to prep me for the op. He talked me through everything. The anaesthetist then came through and wheeled me into the operating theatre. He attached the cannula and before knew it I was on my way back to my room and it was all over. I remember arguing with the nurse saying that the clock in corridor was worng and that it was 4:15pm not 1pm. Apparently I wouldn’t let it drop and every time someone came in to check on me I kept telling them to change the clocks…very random but suppose that’s the GA affect.
Anyway, I am delighted with my results and can’t thank everyone at MYA and First Trust enough. And of course thank you to Mario Russo, what an amazing surgeon!
I had 265cc responsives. From a 30A, 8st8 and 5ft 4.
