Hi, i am looking for a few girls to model my swimwear range. it is a TF shoot. images will be used on my ebay shop & my website when its up and going… you will also get ONE a4 print of a image i choose…

Images used in your advertising and yet the models only get ONE shot of your choosing? Not a great deal in my book. Do you have references we can check?

During my modelling days I was always allowed EVERY copy of my photo’s for my portfolio, just not allowed to distribute them.

I also only worked for clients through my reliable agency, how come you are posting on a MYA forum & not through a reputable agency? I’m sure you will have more luck there.

Even if genuine it’s not a good deal for girls. ONE print, of HER choosing? That’s shit. Any self-respecting tog would also post a link to their online portfolio/ modelmayhem profile etc so that girls can check her out beforehand and check references. Personally i think this is 100% scam or some dirty perv (at the very least an extremely bad deal by a greedy tog).

If they post back here with a link to their online portfolio and an explanation of their strange way of getting business, then i shall take it back. But i doubt they will

It’s not glam no, but every photographer has access to online portfolio sites like model mayhem, purestorm etc, and most have their own online galleries – there’s no excuse for just asking girls to trust you because they are desperate to get photographed in their underwear/ bikini. I have never met a tog yet who offered less than 3 prints (or a cd of images instead/ as well) in return for a TF shoot. Otherwise the model is missing out BIG time. ANy model who falls for this should really ask herself why she is doing it.

In cases where there is some doubt (Like here) it is up to the PHOTOGRAPHER to PROVE that they are genuine, not for some unsuspecting girl to meet up with them and find out when it’s too late (not to mention having lost out while the photographer profits from the emailed shots)!

WEll this girl is actually having a ba herself she isnt a man or a perve as has been said! Think we all need to look a bit nore into things before we jump out and start a sad little triad against ppl…

There are many ways to get i to modelling, some do page 3 some do competitions. We all get into it differently and mite not agree with eachothers

If this person is genuine Fairy they would have been on here before now to defend themselves.

Page 3 and competitions both have strict criteria and checkable references/ contacts.

Ask yourself this – Are you happy to send pictures of yourself in a bikini or underwear to someone you have never met or spoken to, whose references and past work you have no way of checking, who has contacted you (not even you, just girls en-masse) via a breast augmentation forum? Are you willing to take the chance that that person could harm you if you met up with them? Are you willing to let them profit from your photographs on their ebay or website without crediting or rewarding you in any way?

If yes to all of the above.. ask yourself why.

NEVER meet a photographer you haven’t had a chance to check out first, and never let them use images of you for their own gain if they are not offering you a good deal in return. It’s rare in modelling to get paid jobs (unless you are happy to do erotic/ porn, and even then photographers are VERY picky). What you will get instead are TFCD (time for a cd of images) or TFP (time for prints) shoots. Very, very occasionally photographers will offer only one image as payment, but this image should be SUPER amazing. The sort of well taken, and well edited shot that will make people stop dead in their tracks when they look through your portfolio. And you should only work for this if you have seen their past work and love it so much you WANT to be photographed by them because you know they will make you look amazing and so get you booked by other photographers.

No it’s not dramatic. Amateur modelling is already fraught with dangers. Every day naive girls are assaulted because they made the wrong move and walked right into a trap. Obviously if you thought everything was a scam then you’d never do anything, i’m just saying that girls need to be careful. If a photographer is genuine they will find a way of attracting models without needing to post on a breast augmentation forum.

Anyway i’ll shut up now, i think everyone knows how i feel about this. I’ve reported the post an hope it gets removed asap.

Ive seen plenty of girls on here advertise their business on her for hair extensions and tanning….its all this girl is doin. Like fairy said shes havin a ba herself its not like shes some random person. You didn’t know they were genuine until i posted the above. And even a MM profile doesn’t prove they are genuine. Had you even done a google yourselves? Honestly girls, have a bit of sense and self-preservation. Call me nasty all you like but when you (or someone you know) has been in an unpleasant situation that they cannot get out of you will think differently. You cannot trust everybody, and you certainly shouldn’t trust someone with whom the only interaction you’ve had is reading their outdated status update on a public forum.

totally agree newboobies, whether it is genuine or not, it simply is not the right place to be doing it, this is supposed to be a support network and it seems people are using it for business promotion aswell as us finding men on here trying to get pics of us.

I didn’t slate her about posting, i slated her for what she’s offering. It’s not a good deal. And personally i don’t feel comfortable standing by while there is the possibility that some naive girl is being lured into god knows what.

Thanks Blondie I don’t think it’s so bad we need to remove all pics and leave, because there are ways to keep the pics private, and just be selective about who we accept as friends. But I agree about using the forum to promote things. It’s not on and just causes issues.

This post has got wayyy out of hand! I have to admit that the post sent alarm bells ringing when I first saw it as it IS a cosmetic surgery forum & not a modelling agency. I agree with Newboobies that you have to be careful of posts like this as terrible things have/continue to happen to girls who have gone to ‘unofficial’ modelling shoots & I see nothing wrong with us looking out for eachother. I also agree with Fairy, as there is alot of convo on here, perhaps we should keep it to the facebook page/private msg’s & keep the forum for cosmetic procedure discussions(as some of the posts on here cause massive conflict). Think this post has gone too far, & i’m sure everyones concern was for eachothers wellfare & not to be bitchy.(Mine certainly was & did not intentionally mean to upset anyone) x
