more swollen!!

Hey im 12 days post op & my right boob has aslways been swollen after ba… tuday its got really big its lyk wen i first had my ba gettin really worried coz my left boob is settlein really well gettin soft & my right boob is still hard.. does anyone no how long before it will settle down?? Thanx x

oooooooo do u mayb have capsular contracture? Id phone ur surgeon/pc

Hi there after my ba i had a bad swollen left boob was quite big bigger etc..

anyway after a few days it got worse so i rang nurse they said nothing to worry about then it went bigger so they called me in and still said early days after another coup days saw surgeon as was really worrying me my left had settled so nicely this right 1 a nightmare not to mention the pains and that i couldnt lift left arm up etc..anyway wen surgeon looked he said i had a lil hematoma that was caused wen implant went in this is a burst blood vessel which sounds bad but he said would go on its own as blood would dissolve bk into the body could be coup mnths…4 weeks i had this i really didnt think it was gonna go away it kept going hard painful really struggled then outta blue it went!!! im now nearly 6 weeks and there perfect no swelling have dropt the same etc..hang on in there unless anything really bad happens..if it gets really massive then call xx

Hey cb thanx do u fink i shud ring the nurse or just wait?? I love my boobs but just gettin me rown with right boob still swollen been puttin ice on aswell but nothing happenin. X

Nothing helped with me either..i had all the ice…

if ya really worried i would ring but i thibk you`ll be fine

this healing process is a long thing xx

Hi amanda, sorry to here you have not been great. I feel like I went slightly backward. I was healing with no pain and now I am getting pain more in my right boob. My right one is dropping quicker than my left. I am not worried though as know that the healing process takes a while. I think I do have boob greed though ha! I don’t think mine look very big and keep thinking omg I hope they don’t go down. I would ring your nurse and put your mind at rest. That is what they are there for and you have paid for the aftercare, so make sure you use it x x

Hey lublu thanx… yeah iv had no pain wot so eva really pleased bout that… but now my right boob swollen its gettin me down just my left boob is gettin soft & right boob still quiet hard just cant wait till they settle down.. think il give it till friday then ring up x

Honestly i really wouldnt worry..i drove my boyfriend mad with my swollen boob..too be honest i was in such pain that whole mnth it was crazy and like i say 4 weeks and it just went down..i cant believe over a few days the right boob caught up so well to the left one…there exact now..both as soft etc..there was so much diff between the 2 intially…im still shocked im ok and didnt have to be operated on etc.. hang on in there my best advice is take ibrufon surgeon said best 4 the swelling keep with the ice another must 4 me was def wearing the sports bra 24/7..seriously i bathed in 1 and the lot!! i couldnt stand the swelling feeling wen my bra came off…also the sight of bigger 1!! xx
