Hi, I’m completely new to this. So was look g for some help and support on my decision. I’ve thought about BA for over 10 years and have now finally, made an appt for an initial consultations. In fact I’ve got two, mr liew with spire health in Cardiff, and mr Chantarasak with transform, again, in Cardiff.

I’m not sure what to ask for or know any booby jargon. All I do know is my 34A boobs make me feel very unfeminine and unsexy. I’m 44 years old and a size 10 and pretty happy otherwise with how I look apart from the usual gripes we all have. But my boobs are the one thing I can’t look at and feel happy about, even with amazing padded bras and fillets. I’ve been with my husband for 25 ( yes 25) years, so it’s not to make him happy, in fact he’s not v keen at all. But it’s for me.

So any help on size, shape, etc would be sooooo gratefully appreciated.

I’m looking to be a natural shape around a C/D.

    Thanks. Karen x

    Hey darlin.

Welcome!!! I had my BA in Dec 2010 and love them.

I was a 32a before and went for 410cc HP Overs. I didnt have a clue what size until I had my consultation and tried some on!

I then did the rice test at home (which was fun) and really helped me decide on what size to have.

I’ll add you and once you accept me you can see my pictures if that helps xx

Aw thanks for that x I’m still at the scared but so wantin to do this finally, stage.

Lol tho I have no idea what the rice test is .

    Menu

Ok, with the rice test, you just buy some stocking and some rice.

Measure the rice into the stockings and knot the ends. You decide on the size and enter that as grams. For example, I was looking at 380cc and 410cc so I measured 380 grams and 410 grams and tried them both on for size. xx

:) wow thanku! Last Tuesday ! And you sound just like me. I’m not having some mid life crisis

I’m not looking for attention from men. I just want a nicer figure which means a savage full of me and not padding!

Like your comment bout your hubby tho. Mine loves them right now but

I just know he’ll be as pleased as me.

How was the pain afterwards and how are you feeling now. I’m planning on a week off work when I do it.

Ive not had any pain, just a heavy feeling on Days 9 and 10. I have taken 2 weeks off could have got away with 1 week as bit bored now. Im the same I didnt mind my breast in clothes as I wore those super boost bras but hated it when I took them off especially side profile. I as a C cup in my teens then a B cup after my 2 children then the gym and lifting weights took me to a A cup. I wanted the volume restored and not a fake look, Mr C suggested a moderate profile. Funny as my hubby admitted to checking out Page 3 the other day where as in the past he wasnt fussed. By the time I had my BA he was like dont shoe me any more boobies im fed up of looking at them lol.

Wow thanks for that, a recent as last week!

Hiw are you feeling? My friends and hubby are not that keen but I’ve a feeling my hunny will change his mind.

I’ve actually emailed mr Chantarasak directly, not really expecting

A response but he emailed me back and asked to see me next Friday.

It feels so reassuring to speak to people in a similar situation.

I’ve always been small, maybe a B in my 30’s, but it’s the volume and fullness that’s gone.

I want to be able to wear a bikini this summer and not feel either completely flat when I lay down or so hot and uncomfy from wearing padded tops.

Talked with my hubby and he wants me to feel good about myself so says go for it.

So I’m now looking forward to seeing what mr C has to say.

Mr C is great he is a man of few words, but is an amazing surgeon he also specialises in hair transplants, so he does tiny scars. The main thing is to tell him the look you want, you could even take a photo of someone in a bikini top etc.

Thanks for the info. I’ll get some photos and take them along with me, see what he thinks .

And do a bit more research on what type of look I want. I didmt even kniw what people were referring to saying ‘overs’ and ‘unders’ lol.

    But I’m slowly learning.

Can I ask what clinic you went to?

I used Mya and had my BA in London at the Highgate and my clinic for other appointments was Brighton. x

try not to worry about overs/unders the surgeon usually suggests that to you. if you have enough breast tissue they normally would do overs. if you have a bit of loose skin overs are great for plumping/boosting out the breast tissue and can give you a little lift to.

I feel much happier now and even more excited at even going for a first consultation.

I shall keep in touch on here as it’s a great research tool and interesting to hear peoples stories.

Countdown to next fridays appt begins! :)

Hey guys…Dr. Chantarasak was my surgeon. I am 20months post op and there is no record of me EVER having surgery!! They lost all my notes after my three month check up. My aftercare apt were in Bristol and I ended up having my 6month check up 12months after my op, i had calls cancelled and emails unresponded!!! There have been a few issues with my breasts that i wanted to discuss with the surgeon and he asked me “have we ever seen you before”!! He was the surgeon who performed my BA so I was mortified. Turns out they had moved venues lost my notes in the process so no one could tell me anything about my surgery and still to this day i have no clue!!!!! 2 of my friends were going to have their BA’s at MYA but after seein the way they treated me they decided against it!! I want everyone to be careful!! I went with MYA for the aftercare they promised and they didnt deliver…i have been mis sold it and after spending thousands of pounds feel at least an apology or something to show they are sorry but I get no response!!! If you went into hospital and had surgery and they lost your notes there would be uproar so what is the difference here??!! EVERYONE JUST BE CAREFUL AND IF YOU DECIDE TO GO FOR IT PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOUR AFTERCARE POLICY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nadzm89, I can imagine how angry and upset you must be. I know Mr Chantarasak works for other cosmetic companies as well as mya and the surgeons perform 1000’s of surgerys every year. Whilst its not acceptable that your notes have gone missing, I would think that its Mya who would look after the notes they need to look into it. If there is a problem we go through Mya first etc. Hope u get it sorted hun x

I would like to think this hasnt happened to anyone else etc.

Nadzma, I totally agree with you about the bristol girls aftercareit is rubbish take your money and thats it unless you continue to chase them for questions and answers. im only 7 days post op but i desepratley need my notes due to an ongoing case, but they seemed to have lost my first notes cause i needed to refill them out when i went to see the surgeon,, besides that i find them quite rude and very unhelpful. hope u they have finally found your notes x

Highgate hospital staff were great and seems like my surgeon has done a good job but only time will tell im in the healing process, if they sorted Bristol clinic out it would be great but like you i wouldnt recommend them now.
