mr traynor and bras

hey every1,

i had my ba with mr traynor 3 weeks ago and he told me not to wear a sports bra or bra of any kind for 6 weeks, but i am really struggling. i feel really unsupported and they feel so heavy. plus my nipples are so sore coz my top is rubbing all the time and have no protection. just wondering how everone else is going on with this? xxx

i was told always to wear a bra for 6 weeks and to only take it off when i have a shower…. but i guess it depends on the size you had and your surgeon.

What size did you have i had 410cc unders and i am bored always wearing a bra i wish i didnt have to.

Did you have alot of bandages or strapping for support instead?

hi hun i had traynor and didnt wear a bra as told to do …. im now six wks post op and so glad i didnt they have dropped perfectly … i would say to wear a tight vest top those support type ones asda or primark do them you can wear them under items then they do help … where ever possible wear baggy tshirts … it gets better ….go baggy wearever possible so you can drop though good luck x

hi ladies, im having mr traynor 2 and ive been told he doesnt like his patients wearing a bra because he believes by not wearing one it helps them drop more quickly and form a natural shape! but i bet they do feel heavy! why not ring your pc and get some advice x x

patsy- i had 340 unders, no they didnt have any extra bandage or anything! its just drivin me mad now! xx

hi zozo, i thought this would be the reason, they have dropped loads but its more the sore nipple thing which is really bothering me, soo painful!! xx

lucy- good luck for ur op hun! yeh well im seeing mr traynor monday so i am going to speak to him, i did speak to the nurse and she said i would advise u to go with wot mr traynor said. but its just so uncomfortable! xx

i know this sounds abit nasty lol but why dont yoou try them nipple pads or breast pads that you get when your pregnant, waer them in a vest top it mite help x

hi emily. I had mr traynor just under 10 weeks ago and i too was told no bra for 6 weeks. week 3 i was exatly the same – my nipples were tingly constantly! but dont worry this passed after about 5 days!! xx

ar thanksrachel, its just a constant soreness and its driving me mad. i am going out tonite and giving in, im guna wear one!! xx

i found mine were worse when i was wearing something loose – like everytime the nipple touched the clothes it set it off. whereas a tighter top was fine! so wear something tight!! lol xx

yeh thats wot i found aswell, it actually seems to of eased of abit so hopefully it mite be gettin back to normal! xx

Hi Girls i have my op this wedsnday and mr traynor told me to wear a sports bra for 6week’s and i got addvicede to get a 32E cup, im having 380cc overs x

I think it’s just his unders pt he doesn’t want wearing bras Hun xx
