Mrsa swab test at pre op?

Hi ladies just looking for help had my pre op yesterday everything fine booked for 28th sept, just reading through my notes etc the nurse gave me to read then realised I wasn’t swabbed for Mrsa , completely went out my head when I was there yesterday but I’m pretty sure I’ve heard it mentioned before that it’s needed , did anyone else not get tested or am I wrong and they do it on the day of surgery?? (I’m not booked with mya using another well known company) so not sure if it’s different policy’s? Just don’t want anything delaying or cancelling my day, thanks xx

Hi I went with transform and surgery was 26th and I don’t remember having an mrsa swab xx

Thanks @yvette I’m also using them , feel better now they was rly busy when I went in so was panicking thinking maybe the nurse missed it I only realised my self when I got home , hope your recovering good xx

Yeah it’s going ok thank you, not half as painful as you think it will be, just bruised where the incisions are, probably the only thing that’s hurting ATM

@yvette Haha I feel better now panic over , and that’s good I’m rly worried about recovery booked 10 days off work can’t take anymore so fingers crossed it will be enough , starting to get nervous now but can’t wait x

I’m with Transform too and didn’t have MRSA swabs xx

@charliexbx I’m also with Transform, they only asked me the question if there was any chance that i could have it, which there isn’t. I think they’d only swab you if you answered yes xxx

Thanks @katie She actually didn’t ask me that or mention it or ask me anything about mrsa that’s why I was confused, I just went off what I had read on here , sure it would be a problem they would of been in touch by now im booked in this month, who are you having at transform? xx
