M&S won't give me a card.. HELP ASAP!!!

Hey ladies,

I’m so upset right now. I went into M&S last week to apply for a credit card for my op and hadn’t heard anything so decided to call them up just now and they said they had noteecieved my application. I did another one over the phone (ladies get them to call you back cos I was talking for ages) and we went though the application and they said unfortunately it’s been declined!

I have my pre-op tomorrow and no money to pay for the rest of my op! AND my ops May 2nd

What do I do?

Should I ring my PC and ask her to do the MYA finance thing or go through that other company theyre linked with???!

Need help ASAP

MYA Finance is an option also?

Your PC might be able to give you alternative options but I’d try and source the cash myself first.

Try tesco. I got a 13 month interst free one from them x

My old bank won’t give me an overdraft or credit card as they messed up my account and my current bank won’t give me an overdraft as it’s not an option and they said it was pointless in applying for a credit card and having to credit checked! Damn m&s!! So pissed off they didnt process my application in the first place!

Just called my PC but can’t get through! What time do they normally finish? Shouldn’t they be available till late?

Not good new that they aren’t returning your calls or answering.

I would try phoning MYA HQ on the number from the website. They’ll get your PC to contact you a.s.a.p.

Just tell them it’s an emergency regarding finance. She should get back in touch a.s.a.p.

Can you even get a loan with your bank at a reasonable APR? I done that because I couldn’t get credit (I had just changed address). Im with RBS and they arranged a loan as quick as anything. It was in my account the next day or somethin ridiculous.

Alternatively ask a relative to take the loan out and set up a standing order or direct debit?

Omg thats devestating!!! I’d definitely try tesco, I dont have the best credit history but I still managed to get one and its very quick! Good luck hope you sort it out! xx

Hey I’m having the same problem! My subsets booked for may 3rd!! Iv applied for so many loans/credit cards it’s unreal and Im finding it extremely difficult! Let me no if u find one so I can try the two haha, good luck Hun x

Stephie the more you apply and get rejected the worse your credit rating gets Hun so I wouldn’t keep applying for loads or you’ll never get one!

Gabby you might have to postpone your op if you can’t get the money but ask them to try FML fir you first X

Finally got through to my PC and she said that if I tried with first medical loans they won’t be able to process everything by my op date especially because of all the bank holidays we’ve got coming up. I’m gonna try with Tescos now, and it that fails then it’s over and no BA for me xx

Defo try Tesco. I got one in my husbands name (I’m unemployed at the moment otherwise it would be in my name) and he was accepted with a credit limit of £3,500. I hope it works out for you x

OMFG! The Tesco online service is “currently unavailable”!!!! Pre-op is at 12noon!!!

sumtimes the tesco one doesnt work at night, try it in the mo or give them a call. i got accepted my tesco but credit limit was low so i tried for barclays platinum and got £3500 xx

Op… Cancelling it this morning! Went to see Dr Singh and had my pre-op yesterday in London but my PC was urging for the main bulk of money and I knew I wouldn’t have it by today. So I’m cancelling it this morning, however, my friend has said that she will try to get a card out for me and i pay her.. But at the moment its not guaranteed that she’ll get it.

However, after talking with Dr Singh, i’m going to call up his private surgery instead because of what they offer (would say on here, but will get in trouble with MYA)
