Mums post op

Hi girls I had my op last Wednesday and have been staying with my parents ever since. My hubby is coming to pick me up and take me home today! I have a three year old who is going to want lots of cuddles and to be picked up. How long did any of u mums out there wait until u could pick your kids up?? Xx

I’m 13 days today n I still struggle with my 2 year old, I still can’t have a proper cuddle 😥 xxx

i managed the other day to pick my baby up she weighs bout 5 kg found it ok as long as i was carefull, but im worried about having to push a pram around with two little ones in think i will have to keep my arms by my sides so i dont risk my stitches what du guys reckon?xx

It’s really hard!! I’ve just got home and she is climbing all over me and wanting cuddles! I think u will have to be really really careful, as our stitches obviously need alot of time to heal properly! How far post op are u? Xx

Hi hun, my daughter is 2, I showed her my bandages and said mummy is sore so we have to be careful. We still had cuddles, just put a pillow or cushion between us for her to rest her head on and protect my boobs. I could pick her up fine after 2 weeks, before that if she wanted me to pick her up I explained I was sore and that I would hold her hand instead which she was fine with, I found bed time the hardest as hubby was still at work then. It does get easier hun. Make sure you rest, happy healing xx

Hey girls. I have 2 n 3 yr olds n I stayed with my mum for the first wk n home after that but I think hubby was back at work by then It prob took me about 2wks till I cuddled them propa. It felt like for ever tho. Also had a pillow between us. Got the youngest to climb in her cot with little 2step step ladders (girls 1 n 2then) she loved it with the highchair had another chair up to it so they again could climb in, loved it I’m 3 n half month post op now n way back to normal. At the time when u can’t do things it does seem 4ever but it does soon pass. Hope the above helps a little all the best xx

I picked my 14 month old up at 7 days but its only been the last few days that i picked up my nearly 3 year old and im 3 weeks post op yesterday. Luckily hes at the age that i could explain that i wasnt ‘feeling’ very well lol and all was fine i came straight home so had my 2 from 3 hours post op xx

My three year old just won’t listen I keep telling her that mummy is poorly and she has to be careful, but she is so hyper she runs around like a nutter and I’m so scared she is going to whack me in the boob! She is off to nursery today and ive one more day off work so I’m going to make the most of it by lying in bed all day! Bliss! Thanks for the advice girlies xxx
