my 7 hours old boobies, all done and dusted today! 345/385 responsives with Dr T

it’s over and done with and i’m pleased so far! I did’nt sleep at all last night, started my journey to Rochdale at 5am with my lovely little sister, i’m 24 and she’s 22, she’s blessed with natural juicy DD’s, the bitch got there via train and taxis at 6.45 and checked in at 7.30. The reception staff showed me to my room which was nice and clean with a flatscreen telly, me and my sister just danced around to the music video chsnnels to pass the time, shaking our boobies and doing the running man infront of the big full length mirror lol i figured why not seeing as i will be kind of immobile for a week or so.

The hospital got my first name wrong so they had to spend a little time ammending the paperwork. I filled in some forms and the nurse came and took my blood pressure, she weighed me (I’ve lost half a stone and didnt even know it! woop woop!) and gave me some rather fetching paper underpants. imagine a huge paper shower cap with two holes cut through it. NICE. needless to say i waited until the last minute to slip into them. I took out all my piercings and used a make up wipe to remove the very little makeup i was wearing (abit of foundation and eye shadow). Mr traynor came in around 8.30 and he looked at me like ‘you again’ LOL we had a little laugh and joke as i saw him three times before i picked my implants and he said he knew how fussy i was so wanted to make sure i was going to be happy post op. That was reassuring, not that i was’nt confident in his ability anyway, the guys amazing. i signed the consent form, got into my butt flashing gown, he marked me up, gave me a little hug and off he went.

Then the anesatist came in and asked me some questions and reassured me that i wont be in much pain post op. His visit was followed by a visit from catering staff, i chose a jacket potatoe some fruit juice and fruit salad for after and off they went. the nurse came in again to take my blood pressure, after she left the waiting began. this was the worst bit! I started taking arnica three days pre op, i took another dose at this point. i got so nervous i kept getting really teary. I got into bed and was drifting in and out of asleep for a few hours as i was pretty tired by this point, the lovely nurse came back to fetch me at around 11.30. I pulled on my paper pants, got my dressing gown and slippers on, gave my sister a hug and a kiss and made my way to theatre. The nurses were very reassuring on the way down. I started shaking and my teeth were nattering due to the nerves, i lay down on a bed and the nurse took my slippers, gown and socks back to my sister. he told me to breathe through my nose to calm myself and it worked, he placed the needle in my hand. It was just a pinch. I was then taken into the operating room. this is when i totally SHIT my paper pants (metaphorically speaking ofcourse!). When i’m nervous i suddenly become quite the comedian so i took it upon myself to entertain the theatre staff with stupid jokes, how embarassing! The anesatist told me to relax as he was going to pour me a gin and tonic to stop me shaking lol next thing i know i was going whoaaaaa this feels nice and started waving goodbye to the people around me.

I vaguely remember waking up in the recovery room and shouting across the room at some guy also coming through from surgery ‘have you seen my boobs dude?!’ lol i think i talked to the nurses a bit before being rolled back to my room. By this point i just felt a little ‘tipsy’ and started talking loads to my sister, I peeked down my top and my initial thought was THEY ARE HUGE but they are’nt that huge really. I watched TV for a bit, then i ate my food, i was starving! drank a load of water, went for a pee, get the paper before you sit ladies lol and changed back into my clothes and sports bra with the help of my sister. I then did my makeup myself, ordered some tea and biscuits for me and my sister, we watched loose women and when the night nurses came in with my discharge papers (they had’nt met me before the op) they did’nt know if i was the patient or if it was my sister so i must have looked well enough! I painted my nails red while waiting too lol they took out the needle from my hand and i called my taxi home at around 5pm. taxis in Rochdale are SO cheap, £2 from the train station to the hospital! TRUST ME, it really is’nt as bad as you may think girls, i was petrified today but it just flew by and im not too sore and managing well. i’m taking pain killers routinely to keep the pain to a minimum. i’ve started my anti biotics too. I’m trying my best to not do anything as i’ve heard thats the best way to ensure a speedy recovery. I’ve added a few pics, their not too great but i’ll add more as days go by. I’ll take some in the same top i had on when i did the rice boob test so you can compare.

I’ve just had my dinner and im watching TV. i’m a little anxious as it’s so early and i REALLY hope and pray that nothing goes wrong. I don’t want to be doing this again any time soon. My boobs don’t look that different in clothes but the increase in size is obvious in my bra. I’m REALLY not liking the cone shaped look from the side, the swollen nipples and how hard and stiff they feel but overall i know things will get better as it’s very early yet. i’m not going to look at my boobs too much as i know i’ll start nit picking and i don’t want to get down about something that might not be an issue once i’m healed! i’ll keep you all posted, thanks for all your help again girls and happy healing to all those that had their op today!! xxx

also, post op dr traynor came by to see me, poked the tops of my boobs and asked me how i was. he told me to wear my sports bra day and night for 6 weeks and to make sure its snug. and heres something odd, i didnt have to wear the white compression socks either, i even asked for them and they never got me them so i’m guessing i must not have needed them. I’m alive so it’s allllll good! x

cant prise myself off the forum lol no one understands like you girls! it’s cool laura, we all have those moments! arnica is a natural homeopathetic remedy used to aid healing so it helps with swelling and bruising, i’ve had it before and it works for me. worth a try. I decided to take it afew days pre op and for a week post op, my best friends a homeopath and she advised me to do this xx

Finding sleeping upright so difficult my headboards funny so have to sleep on the recliner which is comfy enough but I just can’t seem to nod off. My boobs have swollen some more, had to change into a 38 DD bra with a safety pin at the front as it was a little loose. I’m now aware of the incisions they ache but again, it’s very bareable. I have full sensation in my nipples at the mo but my actual breast skin is a little numb and very taught. Had to tell my boyfriend off as he kept saying things like what if something goes wrong, can’t believe you paid to put yourself through this, I’m going go miss your old boobs so much and your crazy. MEN. I gave him a proper telling off so he will be more positive now. I’m anxious about recovery as it is I don’t need negativity xx

Hope you managed to get some sleep last night khanni. I have my hubby and mum well warned that I want to be surrounded by positive energy when I get back! Although what I get from my mother in law will be another story! (she can’t understand why I would spend that amount of money on myself when I have 2 young children) And I am sure your boyfriend will have forgotten all about your old boobs once he gets a proper hold of your new ones! 😆

thanks girlies, i managed to get about 7 hours kip and i feel okay, kept waking up throughout the night though, guess it just takes some getting use to. I feel a lot more achey today and getting a few shooting pains but they pass in a second, still not painful though just achey so you’ll be fine pre op ladies!

-good luck tiarastara, you’ll do just fine. just stay clear of your mother in law for a week or so! positivity from those around you is a MUST.

-Honey, the asda bras been great so far, it’s quite long so it doesnt rub on the scars and its pretty and comfy too. don’t stress about it too much solong as it supports you and doesnt rub on the incisions it’ll be just fine xx
