My BA story – and NINE HOUR WAIT!!!!

hi girls,

i promised my story so here goes…. me and my parents arrived in doncaster on thursday night as my admin time for friday was 10am and im from Newcastle.

got to the hospital and was shown to my room pretty much straight away, i noticed there was 2 other girls in at 10am to.

got to my room, it was clean, basic and what you expect. but first of all my tv did not work!

got seen by the nurse and anethnatist within the first hour and was ready in my gown as i was down as a day case.

by 2pm mr kazzazi still hadnt been in to my room to talk and draw to me so i knew by this point it was unlikely i was getting out that evening.

another hour past (3pm) ans my dad went to have a word with the nurse and asked her why i wasnt first in as there was only 1 other day case. the nurse started flapping and didnt realise i was down as a day case. not only that on my forms my theatre time was 11am!!!!

any hours went past and i told my parents to leave cos i was getting upset and in a bad mood etc so i asked the nurse what time would be me and she said 6ish – by this time i had been in there 8 hours, and not had anything to eat or drink since 8pm the following evening!!! mr kazzazi came in around 4pm to draw on me and said ‘HI SO YOUR HAVING 380 UNDERS?’ I was like ‘WHHHHAATTTT .. AT CONSULTATION U TOLD ME 380 OVERS’ he sort of grunted and nodded and wrote it down on my form and then proceeded to draw my markings.

just before 6pm the nurse told it was finally my turn!!! on the way to theatre i said to her ‘make sure there overs lol’ she stopped me and said she has to take me back to my room cos its illegal to discuss anything about the opp in the anesthetic room!!! because i questioned him on the way to opp it ment i had to go back to my room and wait for him to see me again!!! I WAS F**KING FOAMING. I burst out crying, and was close to just leaving, i was so hungry and thirsty.

so he came to my room and aplolgised for the slip of the tongue and not making it clear enough, the nurses said i should of asked them straight away after he didnt but i just didnt think… my parents came back after this happened

ANYWAY FINALLY at 7.10pm i finally went to theatre, everyone was lovely. the neadly going in was prob worst part and this horrible taste filled my mouth so i started coughing really bad and trying to sit up, they stopped me and said take a deep breathe…. thats the last i remember.

i dont even remember being in the recovery room. i remember getting wheeled back to my room at 9.10pm and felt on cloud nine. i was crying with happyness but had a sore throat. i was spaced out completely til about midnight. i had my 380 overs from a 32B and i must say the r looking incredible already!!! there taped up but feel a nice size and seem a good shape.

all in all – my nine hour wait was terrible, completely unproffesional as i was a day case and got told by mya i would usually wait a couple hours after admin time. saying this mr kazzazi seems to have done a great job (which is all that matters) and the staff were really good.

i got woken up every 2 hours for blood pressure tests, oxygem tests and temp test which was fine as i was dozing in and out of sleep. couldnt eat a thing cos my mouth was so dry…

sorry to bore u all i know my story is mega long… i have pre opp pics and have taken pics of my tape. wil be posting when its all taken off on xmas eve xx

ps i will be having words with mya about my awful wait on monday and try and claim my hotel money back as the hospital didnt even realise i was in as a day… x

hi gema, im fine today. its not painful at all just feels uncomfortable and tight. top of my ribs feel a bit sore. but looking at them (even tho there in tape) im so far happy with size and think im going to heel in to a nice shape.

was so annoyed and upset yesterday but now i have my boobs im happy. have u had urs yet? xx

Firstly, Congratulations on your new boobies!!!

Secondly, although you are happy with the outcome (which is the main thing!!), do not let that cloud the negatives you had to go through that day; you are right, it is unprofessional and shouldnt have happened! Getting your hotel money back is the least they could do for the mix-up.

If there was a genuin reason why they had to delay you (someone had to go back into theatre etc) then fine, it is understandable, but because they ‘overlooked’ the documents they can only blame themselves!

thanks hun, gonna speak to them on monday. the wait totally ruined my experience to the point i nearly walked out!!! it was just awful when they turned me around and took me back to my room. i was in tears and everything. if it happened to anyone that is nervous about there opp it would of been a nightmare. will let u know what my pc says. i agree 9 hours is just not acceptable! x

OMG I’m at Doncaster tomorrow with Mr Kazzazi for my BA, getting worried actually cos I’m full of cold n not sure if they’ll do it, I’d be gutted booked it in July!xx

We are so sorry to hear about this. Naturally, we have been intouch with the hospital and they are looking into what happened.

I understand your PC has been intouch today. She will keep you updated on this and again we are so sorry for any inconvenience caused.

hello mya mod. i must say to everyone who has read my post and about my wait. mya newcastle and my pc ‘julie’ have been great. my wait was no fault of mya, it was down to the hospital so pls dont be put off by mya. also mr kazzazi from what i can see has done a great job
