I’m 2 days post op so thought it’s time to put my story on. My experience with mya from the start has been faultless, just brilliant. My co-ordinator amy has gone out of her way with everything, from organising the cost to helping with my panic. Anyway my hubby and I arrived at highgate after a long 3 hour drive in our hire car, I had to leave my twin baby girls at homecwhjch was hard. Got taken to our room which was lovely, a nurse then came in to do my checks, my stats were 32a, 5’2″ and 7 stone 3. I started really panicking and said I’d changed my mind lol, nxt thing I knew the surgeon and ansethaestitist came in and were really nice putting my mind at rest but I was still panicking so they said they would get me down to theatre, dr chantarasak drew on me and asked wat size I wanted n I said 300, I was having unders n had the choice of 260 or 300. My admission time was 8am n I think I was in theatre for 9ish, it’s a bit of a blur tbh, I was panicking so much. Everybody was so lovely to me, they put the cannula in and I felt a warm liquid from my chest to my mouth which was weird then I was in recovery about 11, my teeth wouldn’t stop chattering and I had a pain in the middle of my chest and that was the worst bit tbh. They gave me an injection of anti sickness stuff and I felt fine, went back to my room n just slept and ate loads. Dr c came to c me, said it had gone well n I could take my bandages off the nxt day n could leave wen I wanted, I was a day case. I had my obs taken for a few hours and left with my antibiotics and paracetmol…yes just paracetmol, I felt I didn’t need anything stronger, and went to my travel lodge for the night and left for home a 3 hour drive in the morning which was great. I felt battered n bruised but fine, I can’t do much with my 18 month girls which is upsetting but I can do everything for myself which I’m surprised at and it’s horrid sleeping propped up lol. My boobs look great so far, v high up of course n I have boob greed already lol. I’m wearing a 34d sports bra. For anyone who is nervous don’t be trust me. Everyone at mya is fab and dr chantarasak is fabulous. Hope this helps love jane x
well done janeella enjoy your new boobs im 13 days post op. xxxxx
Hi Janeella,
I’m Glad it all went okay for you, i was thinking of you the day of your op as i was waliking my doggies in the woods. because we had chatted about your concerns a few days before.
I am 7 days post op now and have my first check up with mya today.
It really does get better every day, i feel almost normal now !! im back at work, driving and doing house work,i’m still getting odd feelings and pains here and there ,
i have lots of questions when i go for my check today.
those first 3 to 4 days were the worst for me ,mainly due to the strong pain killers.and feeling very tired, i find even the antibiotics affect your body alot and i finish those today.
It is crap having to sleep sitting up and wearing the breast band makes you feel like your in a straight jacket !!
Remember to not over do it ! you have just had major surgery and your body needs time to heal, drink loads of water .
Keep me posted hun. happy healing xxxxxxxxx
Thanks shorty n tink.
Tink I’m not wearing a chest band just a sports bra and got antibiotics only for 3 days. I took note of wat u said about the painkillers so I’m just taking paracetmol, u sound like yr doing great, wat questions r u asking today x x
Hiya, well had my check today, in and out in 5 minutes, it felt rather rushed, had a few stitches removed, and tapes off,
so the good news is I dont have to sleep proped up any more hooooray, i might get some sleep tonight.
and i can take a proper shower at last .
its funny how different surgeons work different, who did you have, i had dr malik, and he says you shouldnt take the breast band off for three weeks as it produces better results and helps them to drop.
how are you coping withthe twins ?
sorry babe it says on your post who your doctor was xx
Not too bad Hun I’m coping n able to cuddle them at arms length and with a cushion on my lap. I asked my pc about the chest band n said the nurse will say if I need one at my post op cause I said I wanted one lol, it seems different surgeons do different things so I’m not going to worry about it, hope I can sleep laying down after a week x x
