My BA story with Mr Singh. 26th august 2011

Hi, here is my story…

I woke up at 5.45am on friday morning as i had to be at highgate for 7.30am. Had a shower using the hibiscrub antibacterial wash. Then got dress in to my tracksuit and made sure i had everything i needed. I then woke my little girl up and got her ready, poor little thing does’nt like mornings. Then my hubby got up and we picked up my bags and got in the car for 6.30am. As we were staying in a hotel but didnt know how far the hospital was, we thought we’d give ourselves an hour as i do like to read maps wrong. lol

We arrived at highgate at 7.10am. had to fill out an admission form, then 10 minutes later we were shown to our room. It was a nice room, with en suite shower, tv and was comfortable. That put me at ease. My little girl loved exploring the room and was like, “The bed is mine”. lol.

The nurse then came in and gave me a pregnancy test to take, which was a bit difficult considering i hadnt drunk anything since 8pm thursday night. Thank goodness for that it was negative. She then told me i was first on the list. Scary, didnt really have time to think about it. I then had my blood pressure taken and she said it was abit low, but its always like that. So then went through weight, and height etc and the anthestic came in and he was really nice. I asked for a pre med, but he joked and said he will be gentle and because im first in, there wasnt enough time. He made me feel really comfortable.

I then got dressed into my gown, sexy paper knickers and stockings, im still wearing them now lol. Mr singh came in 8.15 to discuss sizes and i signed the consent form and he took pictures and drew all over me. Said i will be down in the next 45minutes. So i sat and had cuddles with my princess while watching peppa pig.

At 9.30am the nurse came to take me down to theartre and i walked in to the room and saw all the nurses buzzing around. I was then told to lie down on the bed and at this point i was like its actually happening! The anthestic came in again(sorry if spelling is wrong) he spoke to me asking about my hubby and we got on to the subject of the riots and the cannula was in. We were taking about my hubby working for the police, i could feel the GA going into my body, werid feeling. He then said goodnight and i remember saying goodnight and closing my eyes.

Wow im awake, its 11.30 and i was in recovery, had a lovely nurse sitting beside saying natasha its okay a few times. I just laid there with the oxygen mask on and drifting in and out of sleep. I asked her did everything go okay and she said yes. I could feel boobs but just had no energy to look. I was then taken back to my room and the first thing i needed was a wee. So the nurse helped me. Then i asked for my hubby and daughter as i could hear her outside playing.

The nurse asked if i wanted tea and toast and i was like yes please and she gave me a glass of water to drink. She then went and got my hubby and little girl. I was so pleased to see them. My tea and toast came up, and my little girl shared it with me. lol. It was difficult to eat because my throat was soo dry. I just drunk lots of water. I ordered my nice dinner for me and the hubby and the baby went to sleep. So i drifted in and out of sleep. I was feeling like i was in a dream as didnt feel real and i havent had any pain what so ever (Yet!!). Just the few twinges and thats it.

The nurse kept coming in an out checking my blood pressure and making sure i had been to the toliet and i was like that the first thing i need when i woke up. lol. I then had my lunch and that was nice, with ice cream. Enjoyed a couple of hours peace till the princess woke up lol. Mr singh came to see me at 2.30pm to tell me everything went great and that he had put the 800cc in. I was very happy. My little girl was crying at this point as she wanted my ice cream, so mr singh rang downstair for another pot of ice cream for my princess. So cute.

He shook my hand and my hubbys hand and said i can go. So the nurse came in with more tea and bisuits and gave me some information and said i can go when im ready. So i started getting ready and this is when i first saw my boobies. Wow they were great, big, you should have seen my hubby faces. lol. So we got everything together and i got my medicine and im still in my strapping till thursday, then i can wear my sport bra.

We left the hospital and went back to the hotel and was trying to get some sleep but the princess wasnt sleeping well so at 8pm, we decieded to that we were gona pack up and go home, i need my bed and she needed her bed. We got home just after 10pm and i have had the best night sleep ever. Still have no pain, a few twinges here there. The GA is kicking in now, so im soo sleepy. But yesterday was a breeze, and i am so please with mr singh work.

Im also disabled in my left arm and the way they all looked after me was great. I couldnt be happier. I cant wait for the strapping to come off so i can wear my sports bra, but i am definitely following doctors orders the whole way.
