Your scars will be sore hun,to be honest the pressure from the band on the bra,in the early stages can make you feel uncomfortable,I was constantly pulling at mine for some relief,i went up a size and that was more comfortable, check that you have the right bra size, you need to support your boobies but you need to be comfy too.xxx

I did what Tina said got a bigger size. I find the comfiest bra I have is from tesco £6 slightly padded so helps when nipple r sensitive as well. I now have gone back down a size. Or I have chop tops from primark. (2pack for about £5??) They r comfy. I also find what whatever I wear in the day I then change to a different one at night. Seems to work well. Hope this helps a little. Xx

I’m only 2 days post op so prob being a little impatient! Did you go up a cup size or back size? I h e put a bigger cup size on this morning and put some cotton wool pads under where it’s rubbing. I might ask someone to get me a bigger back size bra but worried it won’t support me. Also my left side hurts more than the right hmm. Xx

I went up a cup and back size, just put the hooks on the tightest setting, after 2 weeks when the stitches were trimmed I went back to the smaller back size and the bigger cup.XXX

Heya, I had a Macom Bra and an Asda Post op bra. I found my Asda bra hurt also up untill the 4 week p/o stage. I spoke to my nurse she said its probably because the asda bra does not support ur boobs nowhere near as well as the Macom. The macom holds them in place. The macom bra is definately the best

Hey I swear my Primark’s crop tops.. I haven’t worn a proper bra since day two. They’re ace because they sit way below your boobs so they protect your scars and dressings rather than irritate. You can buy two for 6 pounds (my laptop only has the dollar sign as I bought it in the states lol), in grey, black and white. If you want to see one, ook at my pics xx

Thanks girls. I’m going to see what else I can get hold of. Just worried that all the pressure is not good for my incisions! :( x

hey hun i had the same problem, i got 2 sports bras from asda at 36dd coz im usually a 34 back. after two days of wearing them i had to go by one from bonmarche!!! the support is such a relief with the bras, because i dont no about you, but mine feel really heavy when i dont have one on for a while. but the back was so tight and uncomfortable and squeezing my scars. so i went and bought a 38dd firm control, non wired bra which was like 7pound and is fab i get the support and it doesn’t squish me in. so you might just need to just gat a bra with much bigger back to accompany the swelling x x

i had the same problem once i had the plasters off – found some days i could wear my macom and then other days it would drive me mad, but has been the best by far. The asda one i bought 2 back sizes up when it happened and that really helped xx
