So thought I’d post this for all the girls with upcoming surgery has this forum helped me so so much!! I had 325cc HP with mr traynor yesterday at Preston first trust! My admission time was 11 and I got there at quarter past due to road works near the hospital! I’d deffo just ring the hospital if you are near for directions as they ones they provide are rubbish!!
Got shown to my room 10 minutes later to put my gown and socks on. Was visited by a nurse the anethsatist, a general ward doc, the nurse again, then finally mr traynor to draw on me! I’ve never had so many visitors haha!
I was told I was second on the list so I ended up going down at 10 past 1 but those two hours flew by didn’t feel like I was waiting long at all!!
Woke up back in my room at 2:30 can’t remember a thing of the recovery room jut remember being slid onto my bed on one of those boards. Was dizzy but not sick thank god!!
Nurses popped in what seemed like every 20-30 mins to check obvs. I had to eat some toast and coffee and have a wee and feel ok on myself before they would send me home. I couldn’t praise the staff anymore at Preston first trust they were so lovely and kind even if I did keep giving them questions!
Staying at the ibis 5 mins down the road and managed to go out for a nice meal in the pub next door! I just looked very attractive with my big white socks and sandals on, no make up and my fleece!
I’ve just woke up in the ibis which is down the road. I had a good night sleep! Had a pillow supporting my bottom back then two at the top with a v pillow.
Not in too much pain just aching more than anything it just feels tight rather than ouch!! This was the same after my op my right side ached so much more than left but apparently this is normal!!
So my experience so far was great – I thought I’d share it with everyone feel free to ask questions!
Ps if you are scared of needles ask the nurse for some magic cream!
