My Experience @ MYA in Manchester with Mr Aurakzai

Hi thought I would put a few words together for all you ladies who are have a BA booked in and want to know what it was like.

I am 36, 5’3, 8 stone 12 and was as 32A/B (on a good day). I initially went for a consultation with Beaucare in Manchester who operate in Brussels (cheaper option) and had a second consultation with MYA in Manchester. I had researched clinics, prices and breast implants on the internet for weeks before so had a good idea of what to expect….

Beaucare where a good alternative but I was left a little worried about the aftercare (brussels is a long way to make a second journey to)… As soon as I came to MYA in Manchester and met my co-ordinator Lizzie I felt totally comfortable. All the staff are professional and Lizzie was able to answer all my questions (believe be I am an analyst for a living and ask loads of questions)… I then met the plastic surgeon Mr Aurakzai who has a lovely personality and really made me feel at ease. I’m not used to getting my boobs out but I can say that he made me feel completely comfortable and safe and came across in a caring and professional way. After discussions with the PS I decided on 380’s partial unders which will hopefully take me to a C/D. As soon as I got home I knew I wanted the op and phoned up the next day and was booked in for 30th.

Day of the op…. Even though I had GA’s before I was really worried… my main fear was the fact that I was going through this surgery not because I was ill but because I wanted bigger boobs and part of me thought this was vain… My blood pressure was sky high the whole day … I think this was the stress of the op as I have visited my doc since and it’s ok now. I was a daycase at Manchester Lifestyle Hosp and my whole day was great, the staff where fab very attentive nice and chatty. I saw Dr Aurakzai before the op (obviously not during cos I was out for the count)~ and afterwards once or twice (can’t remember)…… I felt poorly after the GA for a couple of hours but was able to go home at around 8pm… I felt so great at this point we all went for a sit down curry on the way home..

I now realise this was the drugs in the GA as the next day I defo felt the after affects of the op. The next 3 days where very uncomfortable and I made sure I took my painkillers on time….. I do find sleeping upright really uncomfortable but trying to stick at it and do as I’m told…. Yesterday (day 4) and today I feel loads better… still not up for going for a long walk but much better and I haven’t needed any pain killers…..

So far so good………….. I was worried that I wouldnt’ like my new boobs for the first couple of months but do you know what despite them being hard and having no feeling I am liking the look…. I took photos before and after (daily except for today lol) and I am definitely pleased so far…..

Just need to keep looking after myself and hope they fall just nice over the next couple of months….

hey dottie777 congrats on ya new boobs . im having my ba on 12th oct with kr aurakzai at manchester i cant qait now… im a 34c at the min gettin 410cc im confused with the sizes thou so dont no wot size il be after op. Xx

Thanks for the nice comments…. forgot to say if you’re with Mr Aurakzai take some safety pins with you……. after the op when he came to check on me he suggested that I either sew the gap between the cups in my bra or safety pin them together…. so funny cos I had to send my boyfriend out looking for them in Manchester… now where do you get safety pins from when shopping in manchester…. lol and Good luck xxx

Pain was just really achy and uncomfortable for the first 3 days… find the day of the op but not the next day….. My boobs feel really heavy today too… going to M&S tommorrow to get a better support bra. I have been using the Asda ones, they’re ok but think I could do with better shoulder support… Have an M&S one but the back is not big enough….. I was a 32A/B so they say to buy the next band up….. I can see why because when you look front on your side bits stick out a bit more than usual…. I bought D and DD cups and am in the DD but can also fit in the Asda D ones……. oooh it’s exciting isn’t it??? xx

Hi dottie, ditto to ur story lol exact same date surgeon pc and nurse lol even similar stats as u. I went to see emma today, she’s really impressed with how well my scars are healing, she told me about pinning my sports bra today, I didn’t get to see aurakzai after the surgery which I was a tad upset with but oh well. I’m currently wearin a 34d sports bra. Do u think u will be a d when they settle? I told aurakzai I wanted to be a d but after all this I’m secretly wishin on ending up an E lol boob greed I suppose! How are urs settlin so far? My left one dropped after 2 days but my right one is still quite high but not too noticable lol xx

xdodiex… my admission time was 12.. what about you… Mr Aurakzai said he was having a 380 day that day.. all the girls so far had made there final decision to have 380’s…. lol…. I wanted to be a C/D…. My ASDA D and DD sports bras both fit.. how do you work that one out (previously I was just grateful to fit in anything)……. I got a 32DD from M&S but it’s way too tight on the band so I’ve orderd a 34DD and going to get it tomorrow, fingers crossed…. I think I will end up a D cup…. ooh how exciting….. Mine haven’t dropped I don’t think… have you got any photies….. I’m on sofeminie…. dottie777 if you want to see my photos so we can compare size and healing process…. Couldn’t see Emma this week but booked in for next week……. my boobs are sooooooooo tingly right now.. feel like they’re full of milk (from when I had kids)…. Dreading going back to work next week though…

Went to see my friend today and she didn’t notice which I was pleased about…. I’ve only told a couple of people so far…..

Thanks for sharing your story! Am so nervous but really excited for my op in December. Am thinking of going for 380cc now rather than 410. Unders. Really keep changing my mind though!

Was lovely while taking your money – not now you need help regarding the PIP implants he has used and is charging as much again to remove and re-do – disgraceful.
