i think this is a really negative post and not very fair to the pre oppers. i personally think the pain is very small price to pay for what you get out it, and even then the pain isnt that bad (in my opinion) more stiffness and discomfort. childbirth is far worse than having a ba,in fact, my back hurt more than my boobs due to sleeping upright.

the pain killers they gave me at the hostpital are very strong , they did releive the pain just made me feel ill.
the girls on here advised me to alternate paracetomol with ibuprofen which i ended up doing,
i am very tiny and i think they consumed me more, we are all different , so you will only be able to gage yourself but you can be prepared x

Great posts for us pre op girls. Nice to know that most of you don’t have a lot of pain…but always good to be prepared for the worst, just in case you are one of the unlucky ones that gets all the pain! I’m having overs so fingers crossed i will be ok. :o) xx

let me put a positive on it.
i’m 12 days po now and feel fantastice, love my boobs, can even sleep on my side if i cuddle the pillow LOL,

But yes i was stiff and sore for the 1st 4 days, that is to be expected .
It wasnt unbearable just like when youve had the mega training session and every muscle hurts. i remember my first ever aerobics session and i could not actually walk down stairs the next morning.
Ive had no bruising, or sore throat.
I dont remember a thing about the op but woke up 3 hours later in my room feeling wonderful.
my scars are healing well, my boobs are softening alittle bit more each day.

the only negatives for me were the strong pain killers they gave me made me feel rough. and this bloody breast band is like a sentance . but i will see it through (10 more days)

so anyone worried, its a few days of” bearable” uncomfortable soreness, which now seems like a dream and passes quickly. im happy XXXXXXXX :jumping:

Sorry If I have put some people off, this is not my intention! I am talking from personal experience (which I did state in my original post). Sounds like my experience may be worst case scenario and I hope no one suffers as I did, But I was surprised and unaware that the above could happen and wasn’t prepared for it!

flojo89, I am happy I went through it and the pain is getting easier with every day, and as I stated, can’t wait for my new boobs and know it’ll be worth it!!
mizzpink23, I am pleased you had no pain!

    Hi girls,

I can only talk from personal experience, and I know everyone is different, and some ladies may suffer more than others, I know everyones pain threshold is different, and depending on procedure (overs/unders) etc, we have different levels of pain, and going off my experience realised I have no pain threshold!! ha ha I really didn’t think I would find it difficult to hold a pint of water or to pull my bed covers under my chin. Or how difficult it would be to sit myself up if I lay down (do lots of abs exercises before op) and how hard it is to push a light switch!!… and OMG, how they looked when I first had them done! Don’t be surprised if you have a chest to rival Madonna’s Bra! and nipples like bullets! ha ha this is quite normal and will definitely change shape, drop and go softer!

Thinking about it now, It seems I was a little nieve into thinking I would have my dream boobs straight away! Unfortunately this isn’t the case. If there is one thing I’ve learnt from my on going journey, and that is to be patient, give myself and my new boobs time and it will all be worth it. Bring them on!! No pain no gain!!

Good luck girlies and enjoy your new body! xx

i think its all to do with how much pain you can take!! the hardest part for me after my ba, was the 2nd morning after the op, when i was back home. god i was sooooo stiff n sore, felt like id be kicked in the ribs and beaten up, and found it hard to get up out of bed, i remember trying to get up in the night n falling back on the bed. its hard cos your not allowed to put any pressure on your arms, so how the hell do you get up?? ha ha!! but all worth it in the end XX

    Menu

god i had unders and i didnt even need painkillers, christ I must of been lucky! xx

    Menu

ha ha I haven’t had the pleasure of the patter of tiny feet yet! but by the sound of it, I’m going to need all the drugs and pain relief I can get my hands on!!

I know everyones’ experience is different and I really don’t want to put anyone off from having their dream body, but if you prepare yourself for the worst, anything else will be a breeze!! xx

Anglar77 i couldn’t agree more!!! I had unders also and apparently thats why they r so painfull. I have had two 9lb babies wit no pain relief and nothin remotely compares to the pain i went thru in the first 4 days after havin my ba.
I have done sooooooooo much research into ba’s and noone really tells u this bit till after …… think overs must b the way 2 go 4 no pain hehe

I really didnt think the pain was that bad!!, i have been through child birth twice, so no pain ever would compare to that, so to me, the pain after was just stiffness and soreness, but bearable.

So all you mummys on here, who have had the worst pain ever, squeezing your lil baby out, this is a piece of cake!! ha ha XXXXX

    Menu

I had unders! I know having unders is meant to be more painful and take longer to recover from x
