i thought id put my story on here, ive not been on this forum long but everyones story helped me tons & theres some new girls on now who i hope i can help settle their nerves!
i got my addmission time on friday afternoon for monday 26th sept at 12pm, i started to shit my self a bit but i still had 20 hours of work to get through so that kept me going! i was booked in for lipo on my upper arms, a full arm lift(due to loosing weight everywere apart from my blasted bingo wings) a full uplift with 380 low profile unders.
anyway i doped myself up on my insomnia pills the night before, had my last supper cos i didnt fancy getting up at 6am in the morning for a piece of toast, and hit the sack, i slept ok even tho i was sooo nervous! i got up in the morn, packed my eldest off to school, and my youngest to his nanas, packed my case & set off to the hospital which was only 10 mins away. i got there got shown to my room & got told i was going down at 1.30. i got my paper nicks, stockings & gown on sat on my bed wishing away time.helena my surgeon came to see me, she did her drawings & explained wat was gonna happen & said the op would take 4 hours & then she left saying ill see you shortly! 3pm came & id still not gone down, i was tired STARVING thristy & grumpy! my fella had to leave at 3.15 for the school run & id still not gone down so he said hed be there wen i woke up, he left & at 3.45 a nurse came & said at last its your turn, so as i was walking down my arse well & truly fell out, i was so scared!! i got on the bed and the lovely anesthesetist(watever hes called) really reasurred me and put the canular in whilst asking me how i can be scared of needles with 6 tattoos! it really didnt hurt thank god! he said to me tell me wen u feel like youve had a glass of wine, n i said i feel like ive had a bottle! the next minute i was laid in bed in recovery absolutely freezing with an oxygen mask on, i looked up & it was 10.15, the nurse was telling me it had taken 6.5 hours, i was gobsmacked! i wasnt in too much pain, i had an awful burning sensation down my arms that wasnt nice, but my boobs were fine, they just felt really tight n heavy. i was wheeled to my room by a rite miserable old nurse called pat! i asked were my fella was n she said “do u no wat time it is? hes not coming to see u now, i burst out crying i was so upset! she left n came back in my room sayin hes just rang hes comin up but only for an hour, she was a rite old boot. so he came up & bollocked her! i didnt sleep at all that nite, i had all the nurses in my room n we were talkin about allsorts, it was funny actually! in the morning i was throwing up from the morphine so they put me on cocodamol paras n ibuprofen which helped loads! a lovely nurse called karen came in to give me a wash & pull my drains out, i was so scared of that but it just felt like a really dry tugging sensation, no pain at all! and that was that! i ended up staying in hospital till thurs as i was having a hard time controlling the pain (from my arms) and using my upper body. im on day 13 now & feel great! i honestly didnt think at the begginning that id ever feel like this again! i still cant use my arms proper, n look like an idiot trying to do things but im not arsed, ive no bingo wings & i have boobs like i did wen i was a 16 year old!
but jus to all the new girls,HONESTLY its not bad at all, i could av new boobs over & over again, its the arms that did me in. oh & the sleeping propped up,jesus christ my back was fooked! xxxxx
