Hey Girlies….
I had my surgery what seems like ages ago now, but it took place on the 15th June this year.
I’d been wanting a BA for years and decided that as soon as i turned 21 it was time to go ahead and book my procedure, i had the best patient co-ordinator anyone could ask for, Julie in Newcastle….of course i owe alot to my surgeon Mr Traynor too.
On my morning of the procedure i set off at about 5.30am to Manchester for my daycase surgery, i’d arranged to stay in a hotel close to the hospital so that i would be close by if anything was to happen.
I arrived at the hospital and filled out all the forms i needed to before being taken to my room, where i had a nice flatscreen tv and magazines to read, which i didnt need either….it all happened so quickly that i didn’t feel the slightest bit nervous just very excited ( and this was my first ever operation)
Mr Traynor came in to see me at about 9am, where he talked me through what would happen, asked if i had any questions and drew all my lines on ready for surgery.
Then the nurse came in to talk me through what i could and couldn’t do after the surgery, asked me lots of medical questions and put all my tags on ready for surgery.
9.30am came and they came to take me down to theatre, i was extremely excited at this point so much so i forgot about needing an anaesthetic, i walked down to theatre and climbed onto the bed ready for the anaethetists.
I was talking to them about how long it had taken to get there that morning and where i had come from and then i don’t remember a thing from then on until i came round.
10.34am i was back in my room feeling completely fine, the only pain i had was on my finger where the clamp had been too tight so all i kept saying for about 20 minutes was ouch my finger.
10.50am the nurse came in to see how i was doing and to see if i was ready to eat, at this point i was sooo hungry and thirsty i just wanted to eat everything, i’d been warned by friends not to eat or drink too quickly as it makes you sick, i didn’t pay any attention to that, but fortunately i was fine.
12.30pm I’d been up and about walking by this point as i couldn’t believe how normal i felt and of course all i wanted to do was keep looking in the bathroom mirror at myself…..the nurse came in removed my drip and advised if i wanted to i could go home. I couldn’t believe that only 3 hours before i was on my way to theatre, i got changed into my clothes and ready to go.
1.00pm The nurse came to discharge me and talk me through all my aftercare, at this point i felt so well i asked if i would be ok to travel home and not stay at the hotel, which the nurse advised was fine. 2 hour journey home after surgery i thought would be a nightmare but i was completely fine.
If someone asked me now would i have surgery again – i would do it all over again tomorrow.
Great story babe – keeping everything crossed mine reads just like that :-0 xxx

I think i had what people call…..perfect surgery! I hope you all have the same experience, but i would have gone through weeks of pain if it meant they look how they do now! Best thing i have ever done xx
