Just thought i would post this to tell everyone who is thinking of having a BA or waiting for their BA of how mya has changed my life !!!
From making the first phone call to make an appointment the staff were really helpful and arranged an appointment to meet with my patient co-ordinator and meet a surgeon. On 13th jan i went to Mya in newcastle where i met Lisha my patient co- ordinator, she was lovely and really made me feel at ease and answered my questions as well as sitting in on my consultation which was a big help as we spent ages looking at what size to go for and her opinion and input was just what i needed. My surgeon was Mr Aurakzai who was new to Mya in Newcastle , he was the very down to earth and nice and explained everything that i needed to know in depth, so much so that i had no questions!!
My op date was the 27th jan and from the moment i was picked up to go the manchester lifestyle i was in good hands!!
the staff are great and very attentive with keeping on top of your pain and checking on you after the operation which was very re assuring. the food was amazing better that any 5 star hotel and loads of choice i did not want to come home i was so well looked after.
after my operation as was waiting for the pain to come and this worried me the most as everyone said it was excruciating but no word of a lie i have had none just took paracetamol and ibuprofen every 4 hours with my antibiotics as recommended. the day after the op i was up and about like i usually would be!! So Mr Aurakzai must have been very gentle doing my op and took his time as i have no briuses or anything !!!
i had my post op check up today 1 week since my op and Lisha and my nurse were as pleased as i am with the results. Not sure what size i am yet but whatever size they are but they are perfect!! and I am so happy I have waited such a long time but it has definitley been worth the wait and i know its the best decision i have and will make.
Mya has changed my life and i want everyone to know who is thinking of having a BA that Mya does make you amazing (excuse the pun) and i would recommend them to any one as my MYA experience has been such a good one but i have doubt that this is the case for every one who goes to MYA.
