Hi girls
Well i finally did it i had my op 6 days ago!
I’m sooooo please i have done it, although if you had asked me yesterday i would have just cried-what an emotional rollercoster! But i love my new boobs and i love Mr Adamo for giving them to me!!
I had the op on Wednesday at Highgate in London, and i was an overnight case. My boyfriend and i arrived at the hospital at 2.15 (15 mins late because i cant read a map apparently and out sat nav broke) .
I was shown to my room 206 and made myself comfortable. My lovely nurse came in and asked me some questions and took my height, weight, blood pressure and measured me for my socks! The anesthetist came in about 20 mins later and asked me some more questions and said Mr Adamo would be in shortly. At 4.00 in his smiling face came (such a lovely man) he took some pics and did his art work, he started laughing because i liked the smell of the pen he was using to draw on me (smelt of marzipan). We decided on the 460cc over the 525cc to get a more natural look and im glad i listened to him. He said i should be going down about half 5. So we watched Deal or No deal while we waited… 5.15 the nurse came in and we walked down to theatre.
I wasnt nervous about the GA just the feeling sick when i woke Mr Adamo held my hand as i went under.
Then i was awake with a machine of hot air keeping me warm under my blanket, apparently i said i was cold. I don’t remember but hey it was nice.
I was back in my room by half 6. I had ordered Steak and Potatoes, but didn’t fancy that so i had tea and toast and my boyfriend polished off the steak which looked lovely!
Watched a bit of tv and my bf helped me to the toilet then he left about 9ish to let me rest. Although rest i couldn’t do, i couldn’t sleep at all. It wasn’t that i was in pain or anything just couldn’t get comfy… One minute i put the tv on then i was reading a magazine then the nurse came in with tea.
About 5am i really needed the loo but i didn’t know you were supposed to ring the buzzer for a nurse to help you, so i got my self up but then i fainted on the loo. . nice! then i fainted again on way back to bed woke up sparko on the floor, god i felt so rough i pressed the buzzer and my nurse came in told me off for not pulling the cord in the bathroom (didn’t know it was there) i think i fell asleep for hour after that. Woke at half 6 and had my breakfast at 7. MY boyfriend was due to pick me up at half 9 but due to the damn m25 which was closed he was 2 hours late.
When he arrived i got changed and made it out to the pharmacy which is where i felt like fainting again! I like to cause a fuss, hehe all i wanted to do was get home but one of the docs told me to go back to bed. So off we go back to the room, which they had already cleaned since we left-very quick and he we stayed for another 2 hours!
They changed my medication because that’s what they think was causing the fainting. We finally left at 2pm.
I was fine after an excellent nights sleep at home, but since then my left boob had been really really sore stabbing burning pains but the painkillers have helped. I had my first bath on Friday which was lovely and my girlfriends washed my hair for me on Saturday. Bless my boyfriend he has tried his best but getting him to put dry shampoo on and tie it up after was a mission in it self!!
I keep crying for no reason, which im told is normal but other that that i am happy with them and glad ive done it, they are still numb and the moment but have started to soften. I go back to get the dressing removed in two days and i cant wait to shower and wash my hair!!
Sorry about all the chat but i always have a lot to say!
Good luck all you girls who have you BAs booked in – any questions ask, i have an album pm for my password!
