My op is late in the evening- is this normal? Worried I'll have a tired surgeon

Im having my BA this saturday (OMG!!!), but I’ve just been told my admission time is 4pm, and that the op will be 7 or 8 pm! I’m really worried about how late this is… as the surgeon is doing other op’s all day… and I’m scared that he’ll be too knackered to do a decent job for me.

Did any one else have an op this late??

Or does any one know if this is normal? or should I be complaining to MYA?

my admin time was 10am and my surgery didnt take place til after 6pm!!!! i was last in, the nurses made a mistake. having said that kazzazi still did a great job, i would like to see the girl who went in first hehe x

thanks hun… do you know if he was still doing people after you? in to the late evening like my op? I’m worried about the quality of the surgeon working such long hours! xXx

haha i know what u mean i was worried to when it kept getting later and later in the day. if ur admin time is 4 they will prob try and get u in around 6. i was the last one in just after 6pm. dont worry they will still look great, he will have his practise runs on the other, be perfect by the time he gets to u lol x

Im sure he will be fine babe. Im guessing he’s not working all day and all evening.

My admittion time is 11am so I probably won’t be done till afternoon sometime and im a daycase.

Don’t worry mines a straight forward ba so I won’t knacker him out too much for ya lol xxx

He might be more of a night time person. Some of my colleagues (not that they perform boob jobs like) are rubbish in the morning but more focussed and productive in the evening. x

yeah also hun my surgeon didnt start oporating til 11-12 ish so i dont think he wil have an 8am start or anything x

forestbabe are u a overnightcase at all, coz iam and wondering if thats why u having so late in evening

I am over night yep. But it still seems stupidly late -seeing as th first admission is in the morning. and admission times start at 8am. xXx

I’ll try and calm down!!! Its probably just pre op jitters!!! Can’t believe it’s on Sat, and I keep worrying that some thing will go wrong! xXx

how long ago did u get your admission time ive not heard nuthing yet but im still 13days away from my big op day..

I got my admission time last night, and I’m in on sat for the op x

I got mine a week and a half ago and mines on Saturday. My pctold me first though then had call from nurse confirming a couple of days later x

bloody hell talk about leave close to the big op day thought u get it in advance.. i need to know my time asap to sort my kids out, so im organised, hate not being organised. nightmare

ddgirl if you are a day case its normally between 7 and 11 ish.

I was told the friday for op on the wednesday, but then the tuesday they asked me if i could come in an hour earlier….xx
