My op is on Thursday… No admission time yet!!

Is this usual girls? Im at First Trust, Preston xxx

nor me hun, the nurse rang me yesterday to see if i was well for the op and i asked her bout the time and she said the times hadnt been put up ye,t and they would ring me as soon as she knows, i hate waiting xx

I’ve heard absolutely nothing!! Starting to get impatient now and panicking Im on the list at all – it wouldn’t surprise me!! x

i was thinking the same today, ops not til monday but thinking ohh what if i ring to get admission time in a few days and they say oh ther must have been a mix up your not on the list and then they have to re-book me in on a different day arrgghhh! lol ive got a cold at the moment tho and luks to be going into a cough :S so that better go! x

Oh poor you, you’ve got time to get rid of it before Monday. I know, I just wanna know they have me on the list more than anything else. You seem to have to chase every single thing with MYA, not very re-assuring x

Thanks Fairy, I will give them til 2pm. Mya have messed me about a fair bit re appointments etc so I won’t be happy til I know for sure Im on that list!!! Bit of last minute nerves me thinks too xx

I wouldn’t stress at all though – I was at Doncaster on Saturday and I believe they don’t have to tell you til the day before admission. I might have got told on Thursday evening but it is literally as they receive the time.

The fact they’ve called you to ask if all’s okay means you are definitely “on the list”. Just relax and they will call Xx

I haven’t received a call at all though so I don’t know Im on the list. Del75 has had a call x

I only had one call from the hospital with regards to admission time the day/two before, then on the actual day before I then received a call from my MYA coordinator and nurse.

Best bet is to call your coordinator and double check with her, but don’t get yourself too stressed over it! Xxx

My co-ordinator hasn’t got back to me. But I feel a bit calmer knowing that it’s normal the hospital hasn’t rang yet. I would just like to know for certain that my file has been passed to them and that Im actually on the list xx

Good luck girls. I had a missed call at 11am 2 days before my op and when I rang back the nurse wasn’t available so I had to wait until 5.30pm for my time x
