Hi ladies, so I’m back home and thought I would send you my story as all your stories really helped me. I wasn’t a mya patient and I had 320 teardrops, no strapping or drains ?
Arrived at 11am, my little ward room was ready and my newspaper, toiletries, slippers and dressing gown was on the bed. Nurse came and did a few routine checks then watched tv for a bit. Then another nurse came and went thru paperwork with me to sign then my surgeon came, drew on me, took pics, made a few jokes lol then came the Anaesthetist to sign more paperwork and answer questions and he ran thru a few things then another anaesthetist came and chatted a bit then said right time to go!
He chatted as we walked around the corner to theatre. I got on the bed and there were a few other people in theatre, they put the Canular in my hand and bless the other anaesthetist held my hand while he did it then they said you will feel a little drunk and he was right I felt absolutely drunk, gave me some oxygen then I remember seeing My surgeon and said something but can’t remember what it was now and bang out like a light
Woke up in recovery room saw the nurse and said am I in my bedroom why are you in my bedroom? ? then nodded off again. When I woke up they did more checks blood pressure and oxygen levels I think it was then wheeled me back to a new room it was a side room so completely private with own bathroom and big tv
I asked them to call My husband as it was about 3 and a half hours since I’d gone to theatre and he came back pretty much straight away
More checks and a lovely cup of tea and toast, went for a wee, getting out of bed is a task!
Then we waited a couple of hours then saw the discharge nurse who have me my medication and got home about 7pm
It was a fantastic experience I have to be honest, I really thought I would be nervous but am really proud that I managed to hold it together and the staff all the nurses and theatre staff my surgeon were brilliant so lovely and caring, I was laughing with them all post op lol
Pain wise it’s ok at the monent they said they gave me lots of pain relief and a drug to help with swelling and bleeding and anti biotics into my drip whilst i was under so I inagine that’s why I’m not feeling too bad. Got my painkillers near me to take later on
So glad I did it I really am, just got to wait 7 days now to see them. I’m in a post op bra and a chest bandage thing so it’s quite tight and can only see a very little of boob at the top so size wise I have no idea lol
I’ve prodded a bit at the top and there’s boob!!! ? I’ve never had boob that high up before!
I’m really happy and the whole day has been brilliant. If I can give any advise for you ladies it’s stay positive in yourself don’t let nerves get the better of you, enjoy the day it’s such an experience and I had a really positive time so please don’t worry there is nothing to worry about and when you wake up there they are! And the general anaesthetic was actually really nice!
Il try and upload some pics xx

Congrats hun. Now relax and put your feet up. Hope the healing goes well. X
Hope my op day goes as well as yours ? Congrats x
Just got my husband to check the label of my post op bra as they didn’t tell me what size it was in the hospital…34e ?
I know they will change so much over the next few months and that there is swelling at the moment but I was secretly hoping they would put me in an E and not the D they also said they would take to theatre. I’m hoping they stay at that size ??
