Hi well just for those of you waiting for your dates to come, its honestly not as bad as you’d expect. I was admitted into Highgate at 10.30 Tuesday morning, I sat waiting in the reception for about 20 minutes whilst my room was being prepared then as soon as I went to my room I met everyone at once. It was very quick whcih was a good thing (I hadn’t been nervous at all but I think I would if I was left waiting too long)! I walked down to theatre and it was so quick, next thing I knew I was being woken up. I went back to my room feeling like a baby elephant was sat on my chest (it wasn’t too bad honest)!

I remember hearing my husband asking why I was still sleeping, he is a worrier……I think he thought I’d be fine straight away.

Anyway I left the hospital at 6pm and went to a travelodge near Heathrow, I slept most of the day so the night was a bit restless but not cos of pain. I managed to bath myself about 3 in the morning and put my bra on (I had bandages up until then). Travelled home to Wales and spent the day at the beach with my in laws and children. Last night I had to send my husband out to buy a bigger bra as it was pulling where the stitches are, at the moment wearing a 38F but I am swollen and am sure this will go down in time.

I slept on the sofa as my 2 little ones still creep into my bed at night but I slept really well. I had overs so I know the pain is not as bad as those of you who are having unders but its still not nice, but its bearable. I found it a little bit difficult getting off the sofa but once I’m up I’m fine.

For those of you who have breast fed it is a very similar feeling to when you want to stop but your boobs still keep filling with milk. Its a very tight feeling, although I think 460cc are quite big so maybe thats something to do with it.

Anyway after this marathon essay I’m off so I want to wish you all good luck and try not to worry. Oh and by the way it was lovely meeting Vicky from here at the hospital! Glad all went well for you too!

For those of you waiting to have your ba’s I just thought I’d update you a bit more. Its now friday night and i had surgery tuesday lunch time. I was a little sore wednesday night but today has been fine, i have only taken 4 tablets all day today. I’ve managed to wash my hair on my own for the 2nd day in a row so theres no need to worry. Best part is that already they are feeling softer, the only part thats really annoying is the white sticky plaster thing it itches like mad!

Apart from that everythings good! Good luck to you girls who will soon be having it done! xx
