Hi Girls/Guys.
Il try not to waffle on..
So on way to Highgate hospital was soooo hungry it was unreal. Had to be there for 7.30! Arrived probably 10mins early.. Had to sign a few papers and then was shown to my room. Which was lovely.
My mum n my best friend ordered a fry up (wasnt happy) but they said the food was lovely. Had the nurse pop in so often to do my blood pressure n all that jazz.
I kinda had a diff nurse throughtout the day but they were all lovely!
It was around 8ish within the time of arriving i had been given my lovely outfit & by then anaesthetist come in and talked me through what he would do, then Dr G came in and made sure i was ok and ready. I had pictures of what i wanted so Dr G made me pick my fav 3 photos out of 6 which are in my album he took those and off he went.
The anaesthetist lady come in and said ready? At this stage i was excited yet soooo nervous i was crying all the way down to theatre i couldnt believe i was actually doing it!
I layed down in went the needle and pssh i was gone. I woke up next to some girl who must of had a boob job but she said i looked good in my cast but i just started being sick everywhere obv one of the side affects.
I then was brought into my room, didnt feel to bad tbh. Just felt tired and thirsty.
I was offered water n ice. NOTE TO ANYONE EAT CRUNCHED UP ICE !! its so much better then tryin sip water through a straw!
I had started to eat salad, ice cream, steak the lot after i rammed all that i felt fine.
The nurses started flowin in checkin on me, my mum n friend had food to eat which was really good.
Theres not much I can say about after the op you just chill in your room and relax. I had to wait for dr g to finish his patients to discharge me … He come in and said if my packing had been removed which it hadnt so he did it.
It was so pain free it was a breeze!! I was then let out at 10ish with all of my medicine.
My two weeks off recovery werent too bad. Swollen eyes and bruised. Uncomfortable, itchy n weird feelings but once that cast come off the feeling was amazing!
Getting the stitches out was not bad either.
If theres a message i could say to anyone considering surgery if GO FOR IT.
DR G is my hero and when i see him im gonna jump on him!.
Im in love with my new nose and im so glad ive done this!! – id do it all again.
