My Story – 10/05/11 – Claireybabes

Hi Girlies,

It’s happened. It’s actually happened.

Well I woke up bright and early at 6:30am. I wasn’t leaving the flat till 9:30. Eager . My admission time was 10:30am

Got here, staff are so reassuring and helpful. Just so so friendly. Can’t fault them. Got to my room 134 at approx 10:40ish.

So Ben came in and drew on me. He makes you feel so special, like your his only patient. He remembered a conversation we had at our meeting together. It’s nice that he remembered. It shows he cares.

Still feeling drowsy girls, bare with me.

So the lovely porter took me down to theatre. I met loads of staff, 3 took me down. Then I met the anaesthetist Brian… then this other guy… tommy! lol Weird. Just felt like there was people everyone looking after me. I felt a bit like a celeb.

Brian told me to imagine myself having a few cocktails so before I knew it this strange woozy feeling came over me. It was great, felt nice and relaxed. Then that was it…. Party over? Can’t remember fallin asleep.

I woke up in recovery and peeked. I thought. Is that it? Is it over? Am I awake? Already. I checked the time. It was just after 3pm. Think I was enjoying my sleep too much. I still feel very sleepy.

Not in any pain what so ever. Not even a twinge. Just feel a weight on my chest. Not even uncomfortable. It just exists. Like I’m wearing a really heavy bra lol.

Mum’s due in around 6 to pick me up. Been given Tramadol away with me and I’m a bit immune to co-codomol lol.

The tea and toast in here bloody rocks. Haven’t eaten toast that fast in my life.

Right girls, over and out. Going to try and get a quick 20min power nap.

All pre-op girls. The nerves are the hardest part. The op is a breeze and afterwards I’m pain free.

Everyone at the hospital (Ross Hall – Glasgow) has been 100% amazing. Cannot fault them at all. It’s been such a quick process.

My PC Karen text me today to wish me luck, how sweet of her.

I’m home now. Bright as a button the nurse said before I left. Feeling on top of the world. Could really not be any happier with the new twins. Partner is very pleased and is running after my every need.

Taking my painkillers on time because I know it won’t be so easy tomorrow. Got to keep on top of it and get organised.

For now I’ll just enjoy staring in the mirror at my new boobies!! Woop Woop!!

Congrats lovely! I’ve had a really good day today but dreading the feeling tomorrow! I’m struggling to get comfy to sleep that’s my only problem.

congrats on ur new twins hehe,,,make sure u keep on top of them painkillers, anesthetic and the main pain killers they give tend to go out of your system fully at day 3 so make sure ur comfy and got everything you need within arms reach oh and of course have the boyf looking after you hehe xxx

Morning Girls,

I’ll start with the bad news. Last night I was sick… yes. Sick with brand new boobies. Uncomfortable to say the least. Think it was all the comotion and I was running about like I was “normal”. Forgetting I had just had a big op. So afterwards I came straight to bed, doped up with pain relief.

This morning, I’ve woken up. Took it easy getting out of bed and been up and down a few times just to the loo. I’m feeling great, no pain relief today. Just a tightness in my chest. Like a heavy bra or too many sit ups.

I don’t have bandages on. Ben doesn’t use them so I can actually see the girls in all their glory at the moment. Needless to say partner is very very pleased. Mum even said ” wow, they look so natural “. So, they are in perfect proportion to my frame.

To remind anyone I was a 32D (looked flat) went with the 410cc High profile, overs. I can’t actually believe I still have a bit of boob greed. I want them to stay this big, I don’t want the swelling to go down lol.

I know. I asked Ben and he was like ” no… they just make you itchy. Just wear your support bra until 3/4 weeks until the incision is healed then wear what you want. What a guy!!

Well I was actually a D before hand a 32D. I don’t look it in the pre-ops though. I went for 380cc as that was the max he advised. Then I text my PC with a week to go and she ordered me in 410’s. They’ve been amazing with me. Very pleased.

So 410’s it is Not sure what size it will take me upto but very pleased with the overall look so far.

I’ve popped some Palmer’s cocoa butter on my boobs just now, just avoiding the incision area. Hope this helps prevent stretch marks.

Also I’m drinking LOADS of water
