Ive been lurking on this site since December when I booked my BA but I thought I would register today to share my story.
I had my BA yesterday so from my first meeting with MYA I only had to wait 6 weeks as I was keen to have them done ASAP so I can go away in April on holiday!
I had my surgery with Mr Adamo who was brilliant, I cannot stress how lovely he was and how lovely the hospital was, the nurses were brilliant at checking on me and bringing food and drink after the op. The anathestist really put me at ease too as this was the first time Ive ever been to hospital so was slightly nervous to say the least!
I was only a day case so we got to the hospital at 830, my op was at 1040 and I was back in my room to see my boyfriend by 12, was brilliant, I woke up and couldn’t believe how quick it was!!
I went from a lifeless 32B – after coming on and off the pill they really shrunk and didn’t have much life to them especially once my bra came off! I didn’t want to go too big as I am only a size 6-8 so didn’t want to look too top heavy so I went for the low profile 295s overs so quite a decent size but also gives me a great cleavage.
I had read on here about the different bras you can get, I bought 2 Macoms and I have to say although they are expensive they are keeping mine in a really good shape so Im definitely going to persevere with them for 6 weeks (although I thought they were very ugly to being with Im starting to like them!).
All I will say is I am very pleased with the end result, no pain whatsoever just that feeling of a tight restricted chest which if it gets too much I just take the painkillers but I must admit I feel ten times better then I thought I would and after things I had read – its mostly just uncomfortable and I dont feel too much of an invalid just taking it very slow.
