My story 31st March – Highgate with Dr Adamo

Hey all, here is my story ……

7 stone 12
Had 300cc overs
now wearing 32d sports bra hoping to be a full c/small d

Well woke up at 4.30am , left the house by 5.20 leaving plenty of time to get to Highgate in London, we arrived about 7.15am and was pleasantly surprised at the cute little hospital. Had a few forms to sign at reception then within about 10 minutes was being shown to my room. It was nice and big, bed, sofa, tv and en-suite so chilled out for half hour, all felt really surreal and kept laughing not believing I was actually getting them done. At about 8.30am the nurse came in and measured my legs, blood pressure and health check etc then asked me to change into the gown and paper knickers lol which are so not attractive ! About 15 minutes later Dr Adamo came in , we had one last discussion about size and he did the drawings and said I was 2nd on the list and would be called down to theatre shortly. about 9.45am I was called down and just skipped down to theatre saying by to my boyfriend, still not nervous at this point more excited. I remember being put to sleep and its a lovely feeling , then the next thing Im being woken up I looked straight at the clock and it was 11.15am, Then the first thing I did was lift up the blanket to have a look and loved the look of them, the nurse was telling me to calm down and have a look in a bit when I was a bit more with it so I laid there with the lovely heater under the blanket for about 20 minutes feeling really sleep, my teeth were chattering a bit but I didnt particularly feel cold just a reaction to the anaesthetic. After about half hour I was wheeled back to my room, I was asking for lunch and cup of tea but said I should wait incase I was sick first…I showed my boyfriend the lovely boobies and he was surprised how good the looked already. Looking back at pics they did look massive and pointy and have improved already. After lunch kinda just napped and chilled out, I was in for a daycase so just counting down the hours til I could go home. I got up a few times for the toilet and noticed my right boob was alot more swollen, thought it might just be cos it was slightly bigger anyway. The nurse came in and bought some ice for it, then Dr Adamo came in to discharge me and look at them but was concerned at how swollen and sore my right boob was, he said he would leave me for another hour and take a look, after an hour he came in and said I had a hemotoma , basically a collection of blood in there, he said we could leave it in there to dissolve but it will become painful and could take 2 weeks. He came back another hour later and I was in pain with it at this time and it was still swelling so said I would have to go back to theatre and stay the night I was taken down about 8.45pm and was a little nervous now as just hoped it wouldnt develop into anything more serious etc. i woke up by 9.20pm and it had gone right down. They had needed to drain the blood and said i may bruise on the right side. I was taken back to my room to my worried boyfriend who was great, and just slept on and off through the night, about 6am the nurses came in to start there checks and Dr Adamo came round about 9am, checked me over, was pleased with the result and really apologised that it had happened to me etc. I was then discahrged and made the uncomfortable journey home ! Throughout all that Dr Adamo and all the nurses were so nice, polite, helpful and made me feel at ease even when I started worrying, they were fab !!

Im 6 days post op and struggled the first few days, as I find it hard to sit still anyway, but each day is improving. They are both exactly the same size now and becoming a nicer shape each day , i just hope the swelling goes down some more as they still look a little big for me but overall im so happy with them !!!

Hi Nat, congratualtions on your new boobies hun, such a shame that you had a hemotoma (my sister had one too straight after her op, but everything turned out well)
I also had Mr Adamo at Highgate, he is so nice isn’t he?

Hi nat. Sorry to hear you had to go back into theatre but at least all is sorted now and you have lovely new boobs. I bet your poor boyfriend was worrying about you.
Well happy recovering. Its funny because mr adamo was meant to come and discharge me between 8pm and 8.30pm and he cudnt come because sumbody was poorly and
He had to deal with them. So somebody else came to see me……I bet that was you!! Well take it easy and I hope all is going well now. I can’t believe its been a week already, scary. I have my check up 2moro. X

Thanks guys It is really worth all the pain, 7 days post op finally feeling normal and alot better !!
MillyD what room were u in ? How did yours go ??? Are you happy with the size ? lol yeah probably was me bless Dr Adamo he was a star and really lightened me up when I started freaking out about having to go back under while they sort it out..I have my check up too, mines at 5pm tonight, do u know what they actually do ? How long do we keep the plasters on for ?

I think my room number was 205. He is a star. He made me feel so relaxed. I went for 285cc which I am really happy with. I had my check up this morn.
They said I was healing well. Then they took my plasters off and put more on for another week. Which we take off ourselves. So it was fine. Good luck with yours. X

Hi there glad everything went well and you are loving your new boobs!!!!!!!!
I was due to have 340 overs on 7th Apr but they had to cancel my op as my iron levels are too low. Hoping to get booked in for june/july.
Please can you send me photos as i am similar stats to you.
