As promised here is my story…….
I have always wanted my boobs done ever since I was 16, I was always a B cup until after I had my three children, two of which I breast fed, I went down to an A and hated them even more.
Last month I was finally in a position financially to get them done so booked my first consultaion with my lovely PC Amy at the end of Feb. I had my first consultaion with Mr Traynor a week later and instantly knew he was going to be my surgeon so I booked and paid for my surgery there and then. Yay! The 29th March was the day.
Wednesday night came and the nerves really set in. What was I doing? Did I really want them done? I was also so scared of going under. As you can imagine I didnt get much sleep and finally got up at 5am, got a shower for the last time for a whole week. My mum came round about 6am to stay with the children and we headed off for Preston at 6.15. OMG its actually going to happen now!
We got to preston first trust just before 7.30am and was finally shown to room 8 at 7.50am. The famous peacock was sat outside my window. The nurse gave me the sexy and very large paper knickers, gown and socks to put on. Mr Traynor came in at 10.45 to draw on me and was lovely and made me feel at ease. Maybe it was that lovely Irish accent he has! Ha ha
The recovery nurse came and collected me at 11.20 and was given the anesthetic and put mask on. I remember looking at clock and it was 11.30 and thinking god I feel drunk and I was gone. Next thing I woke up talking absolute nonsense non stop. When I got back to the room the nurse said to my husband ‘does she always talk that much, I had to switch off after a while’ ha ha ha
The rest of the day I lay on bed feeling quite out of it but had the sun shining in and new boobs so I was very happy!
I left the hospital at 5pm and headed home. Couldnt wait to get into my bed. I didnt sleep well last night as do not like sleeping upright so I am very tired today. I have no pain though. Just feel s very tight across chest and scars feel a little sore. Got to take it easy as even little thing like cutting a piece of cheese would you believe put a strain on my chest.
My whole experience has been amazing. My PC, the nurses and especially the amazing Mr Traynor have made my new boob journey so easy and they have been fantastic. I have no regrets!
I would like to also say a big thank you to everyone on here that have answered all my questions and let me see their pics as that was a huge help for me.
