Sorry for late posting bit haven’t felt upto it
Until now.. Anyway here goes…
Night before my op I felt sick with excitement, like Christmas and was very eager to set off on my way to Highgate.. I got there a bit early as my admission time wasn’t until 12.30 but the staff were all very nice and I signed all the form and was taken to my room.. The room was huge with a balcony!! I watched tv for a bit and a little while later a nurse came in my sexy stockings and paper nix.. Attractive!! Filled out more forms and did a pregnancy test.. Lol.. Been a while since I’ve done that!! The nurse said the anesthetist would be along shortly to chat with me so I settled down and watched some more tv.. He did come along and he was very nice, chatted briefly then he said Mr C would be along in a bit aswell.. He came round after a time and drew on me and said said there were 2 girls infront of me so I had a couple of hours yet.. But that was fine, I think I ended up being the last one of the day as I went down about 4.30.. That’s when the nerves really kicked in.. But the staff were wonderful and the nurse and anesthetist put me at ease and tried to make me laugh as I was frightened I wouldn’t wake up after the op.. Well I did and I didn’t stop slurring and talking absolute twaddle to anyone that would listen.. Lol.. Told Mr C that I loved him about a hundred times.. Thanked him for giving me ‘more than a handful’ and told the nurse I loved her to! I was in quite a bit of pain so she gave me a shot of morphine.. That’s great stuff and I started to feel more comfortable.. I was wheeled back to my room where I put the tv back on and just dosed really..I had some tea and toast and my obs were taken every hour I think.. Had some sleeping pills and more pain killers through the night but didn’t sleep too bad.. I went home about 10.30 the next day and was propped up on the sofa for the rest of the day.. I can’t thank the staff enough for the kindness and everything, MYA have been wonderful so far.. I am in pain today.. Especially in my right boob, it’s tender to touch and there is like a pulling pain at the bottom underneath aswell if I stand up or move.. They seemed to really swell up and felt hot and heavy, Was very flushed yesterday to, the nurse that called to check on me said its normal to have a temp the day after your op but to call straight away if I had any worries at all.. So I think I might call today to talk to someone.. I am overall very happy and can’t believe I’m in the boobie club now!! Hope I didn’t waffle to much!! Xxxxxx
